  1. I make my daughter a yogurt dip with greek yogurt- she dips whatever fruit in that. I do grilled cheese on protein bread. I got these cocktail loaves (tiny little pieces of bread) in whole wheat and she smears them with hummus. Actually the kid will but hummus on anything- she eats it like bean dip. She likes lunch meat rolled around a cheese stick. Any fruit. i pack her cherry tomatos every day.
  2. I will say- sex before was great with my guy. Sex now- is mind blowing.. and this is only 35lbs gone. I am able to do a lot more and move a lot more and i enjoy it immensely
  3. My boyfriend and I are running this along with two other couples we know! I'm soooo excited!
  4. I want in! I want to get to goal in 2013. Which means: following my plan, working out. I plan to start the c25k. I want to run the color run in april! I need to do strength and resistance training also.
  5. I thought it was such a myth, but it seemed to hold true to me. I have really enjoyed water with lime lately- AND I'm saying this as someone who was NOT a big drinker at all pre-surgery!
  6. The before was taken in August- I'm pretty sure I gained ~10lbs. after this picture... I've lost 35lbs in almost 6 weeks. I'm down 2 pant sizes and the shirt I am wearing in my current pic is a size large!
  7. Are you drinking enough liquid? When I started purées- I couldn't get the hang of. Schedule to eat/drink the proper amounts and started retaining water. My scale bounced up 5lbs at one point. I got my fluid intake in check and hit a nice 2 week long stall. I freaked, but I'm back losing and I'm happy as can be
  8. I am 5.5 weeks post op. Sleeved 11/13. I was 248 pre-op and this morning I was 214.4. I'm happy with everything so far. I had a two week stall that broke this week. I'm happy with everything. My normal day is: B- Egg or string cheese or protein bar L- Tuna or chicken salad D- whatever I make for the fan (I only eat the protein portion). Snacks- hummus or laughing cow cheese.
  9. I finally broke my stall! I have been stalled since 2 weeks post op. I've been bouncing up and down the same 2lbs. Finally I broke the 220's. 218! Woo hoo!

  11. OMG! That sounds to die for! Where do you find the jelly?
  12. My surgery was the week before thanksgiving. I was fine. I felt great by day 5 I made some dishes for family thanksgiving and felt well enough to go 2 hours for the long weekend.
  13. I have been soooo cold. It's been really warm here (in the 80's) and I'm still chilly! It's driving my boyfriend crazy.
  14. I was told basically the same thing and the next day I got a call and I was approved.
  15. I too ate a pickle.. I literally got up from watching TV with my boyfriend and I went and drank a few sips of the juice and ate a bite of a pickle... it was the best pickle I have ever had!
  16. I waited 10 days- I would have done it sooner, but Aunt Flo decided to ruin that for me...
  17. I met my boyfriend a month before my initial consult with my doc. I was honest and up-front about it. He is the one. Period the end. I was VERY VERY hesitant about talking to him about it because I didn't want him to get the wrong idea about me or why I was doing it. During this same time- my dad was hospitalized and almost died from complications from diabetes and I lost my grandfather Nov. 11th from complications from diabetes- so he knows my fears and health concerns are valid. I love this man with all I have- I am SOOOO happy that I stuck it out and I was very hesitant about it.
  18. It took 10 days for my approval from Aetna . Hoping you know something early next week!!!
  19. Unfortunately totally normal. I've had this for 5 days. I talked to my doctor Tuesday and he reassured me all is well and it's totally normal.
  20. I'm 4'11- I'm kidding myself if I say 5'..... HIghest weight was at my pre-op consult about 3 weeks before surgery (I had a few food funerals what can I say) was 248. Wearing a pretty tight sz. 20- I have one pair of 22 pants and an xxl (old navy) or 1x top if it was stretchy- if not- there's no telling. I'm a 40G. One week post op- Down 24lbs from my consult weight (that's how my dr tracks it). Still wearing the same clothes however they look much better! My goal is 135-140. That should put me roughly a 6/8. I'm definitely hourglass (even when obese) and even when smaller I have huge hips and previously have always been really busty. I'm hoping i get to keep at least a little of the girls!
  21. yummy!!! I'm Nov. 13th and I will definitely be trying this!
  22. I've lost 20 lbs and I was thinking that this morning... how on Earth was my fat butt fitting in them??
  23. I seriously almost jumped off the table pre-op.... I had my surgery last Tuesday. I have now lost 20lbs in 2 weeks. I wouldn't change it for a thing!
  24. I'm glad I'm not the only person with staples! I was seriously beginning to think they just wanted me to look like Frankenstein. Every Single one of my incisions is stapled....
