  1. OMG! I love it! I had something similar happen last week. I'm really involved with my daughters PTA and I was always the fat mom. I'm now blending in more and I'm not the biggest anymore.
  2. You look awesome! And Lisa- my boyfriend said the same thing about my belly not holding up my boobs anymore! Boob lift after baby number 3!!
  3. My mom and future mother in law are compulsive shoppers. They went well before I even had surgery and got me a bunch of tops. I was down 40ishlbs when I tried jeans shopping. I am down 2 pant and 2 top sizes (I was a 1x/2x and tight 20- now I'm in a large and a comfy 16).
  4. I am 10 weeks out- and I will tell you- I have thrown up every protein shake out there. I was told by my nut to do milk mixed with powdered milk for double protein and greek yogurt diluted for protein. I am now getting 90% of my daily goal of protein through food- and my doctor and I are happy. I even had a post-op class where they had some people who owned a nutrition store in there and they jokingly "guaranteed" they could find me a protein shake i could handle... Yeah- I threw it up right in front of them. Awesome. GOOD LUCK!!!
  5. I love them, too! She is seriously the best dog either my boyfriend or I have ever had. I totally understand allergies! We have a cat that lives in the kiddos room because of my allergies! Sucks! My mom has a little guy that looks so much like yours! My shepherd totally thinks he is the boss
  6. My 70lb sweetheart slept with me when I was home recovering. No infection to report. I say do as you wish. And just for good measure- there is my pretty girl.
  7. My recovery was similar to yours. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and woke up in recovery saying it hurt. The nausea is the worst part. They tried phenergan and then zofran and FINALLY reglan made it stop. That said- it does it get better by day 5- I was at my daughters soccer game walking up and down the sidelines. I promise it gets better!
  8. I did ZERO to my gallbladder incisions 5 year ago- it's so hard to see the scars now- I had trouble actually finding one to show someone (they were having it done and were curious as to what it would look like).
  9. First things first- when I saw the title of this- I immediately read it in the old gypsy ladies voice. Second- it will taper. I have heard 6 months, but it depends on how much weight you have to lose. Good luck! And you will have steak again! I had it at 6 weeks and I have had it a few times since then.
  10. I had coffee the morning I was allowed liquids in the hospital- I was also allowed tea. My doc is pretty strict about things as well. You would know by now if something was going to cause issue!
  11. Thanks Sel! You are so right- it shows so much on our mini frames!
  12. Down 5.8 this week! So happy! My birthday is tomorrow and my mini goal was onderland by then. I need to lose .2lbs to get there. Whether it happens or not- I am so happy with my sleeve!
  13. I got a sinus infection over Christmas at 6 weeks. I was exhausted. Fast forward to last week- I got the flu! I just want to feel better! I told my boyfriend- I am so sick of being sick.
  14. Yesterday- I had protein shake for breakfast. Lunch was 2/3 of a salmon burger from trader joes with a teaspoon of teriyaki sauce. Dinner was 1/4 cup of tuna salad and 1 oz of broccoli and cheese soup. snack was beef jerky. I'm really not hungry at all.
  15. I need to join in here... Not quite a success yet- but I'm getting there! I'm 4'11. My start weight was 248- I'm at 200 this morning. Surgery was 11/13. I've lost 7 inches off of my waist and 8 inches off of my hips along with inches off of my chest (yet I've managed to go up a cup size. AGH!). I'm happy that it seems to of come off fairly evenly.
  16. I eat ~500-700 calories. 50-60 carbs. I've lost 48lbs in 9 weeks.
  17. I am training for a 5K- So- I'm definitely running/jogging. But- I know there is only so much working out can do and then genetics comes into play.
  18. Liquid in=liquid out. It sucks, but once you add in more real food- it will change over.
  19. Sleeved 11/13 HW: 248.8 CW: 201.8 Lost 47lbs! GW: 130 (I'm 4'11)
  20. Shaving my legs is so much easier now! I didn't realize just how much of a pain it was. Now I know
  21. I've had a few bites of salad. It has been fine- lettuce is almost all water so it doesn't take up much space. I've only had it 3-4 times. And only 2-3 bites each time
  22. I've been having a rough week- I've had the flu and with so much drainage- I barely have room for real food. I've been drinking shakes to try and make up the room. The plus side- I'm down to 201.8. I have 2lbs to get to my first mini goal. I'm so determined to get to onederland!!
  23. I've lost 46lbs. Every now and then ill catch a side view and go- wait- that's not me! I've gone down 2 pant sizes and 2 top sizes.
