  1. I suspect I've had some kind of reverse RNY done. Where they've connected by intestine to my oesophagus in reverse...... might explain why I talk so much ****.
  2. I don't know about very smart , but I try my best to live all of the other attributes as best I can. 21 - I can only imagine what it will be like to see my kids at that age, young adults with their lives ahead of them. Wish your son a happy birthday from VST - and congratulations to you and his Dad, I'm sure you've done a wonderful job!
  3. Best thing I've read all day. Full stop.
  4. *WITHOUT WANTING TO OPEN IT UP AGAIN* A BMI of 30 is obese (just). If someone has made good attempts to get to a healthy weight and can't (like all of us) I say the sooner the better.
  5. I know right! I normally like to chime in and stir things up when people are on their high horses - but I missed out!
  6. This thread is loose!!! LOL Good luck to anyone in the decisions they choose to make with their health. Sheeesh people .......
  7. I've always loved seafood, but I'd never order fish if I went out because I thought it would be too small / light for my appetite. I order fish all the time now when I'm out and I'm loving it.
  8. Here's hoping!! Seeing the amazing job you guys have done makes me know that it can be achieved!
  9. They say you can judge the measure of a man by the size of the problem that upsets / angers him. My wife and I have had arguments, where we've both lost it to varying degrees. I've never spoken to her like that, with a veiled threat. When my daughters are old enough to be in a relationship I'd be crushed if they were spoken to like that. Good luck sorting it out. Communication's the key, but you both have to come to the table.
  10. Sounds pretty complex. Hopefully you can sort it out. He doesn't really sound like the marriage counselling type?
  11. That's very uncool.
  12. Is your anxiety about the pre op / surgery causing you to get frustrated with stuff that's otherwise normal in your relationship? Normally husbands cop it in here for not being supportive of surgery, and I'm sure some aren't. But it sounds like that's just the way he is?
  13. Eerr, where was your husband on Sunday?? http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/03/31/walmart-crash-attack/2040683/
  14. You still need plenty of liquids and it's fine to keep having anything and everything you were having on free liquids. You need to stay hydrated. You should only be introducing things on the puree stage. And for me it was difficult also. I had this thing where the puree would feel suspended and then after a few seconds drop into my stomach with some pain. Wasn't nice. If you try something and it doesn't work. Stop it. try something different. Go back to what didn't work at a later time.
  15. Hey Priya, I think it's pretty normal while you're on free fluids. It takes a while for that arena to get back to 'normal'. Glad you're feeling better, Deano
  16. Don't feel guilty - you've lost 18 kilos, I'm sure you look great!
  17. Thanks Sue. I'm anticipating the last 15 kgs might be harder to lose than the first 40, but we'll see!!
  18. I've had to ban myself from chocolate covered anything. Couple of extra workouts this week I think .......
  19. Hiya, I assume you meant 262 pounds. For that height the BMI is 47.95 by my calculations. They're all just numbers at the end of the day. There's nothing that says you should feel at certain way at any given BMI. There are tons of people who are at a BMI of 25 - 30 and feel fabulous at that weight and for them they're at goal. The BMI nazi's would say they're overweight, which is rubbish if they're healthy and happy. You've obviously decided you want to lose weight which is great. Good luck on your journey Deano
  20. Moisturise and keep hydrated. I have a bit of that too. But I guess it will be what it will be. I figure at least now I have a neck and not just more chins!!!
  21. Man I haven't had a sao in years! With butter, tomato and salt ........... or peanut butter!!
