    All of my December sleevers...

Sleeved 12/11, started at 280, was 276 day of surgery, down to 241 last friday but put on 4 lbs over the weekend from eating poorly (restaurant food instead of home food). Getting back on my schedule this week. So close to 40 lbs! @10 wks today. I have my 3 mos meeting on 3/15 so I'd love to be down 50lbs by then. That gives me 23 days, so should be do-able! That would be half of my goal weight! I sometimes do a shake in the mornings because I'm running late for work, they truly do satisfy me all the way til lunch. Lunch is typically a salad of some sort, tuna, chicken or lettuce with beans, chicken and feta, although yesterday I had a chicken curry kabob at the Greek place and it was yummy! I do get that little hungry feeling about an hour after eating, I never thought of it being due to stomach acid like some people say. I've been taking my pills in the evening, going to readjust that starting today and take them at lunch! Good luck to all.

    December sleevers

I was sleeved December 11. I was 280 before surgery and 276 day of surgery and weighed in this morning at 247. So, I've lost 29 since surgery day and 35 overall. I feel like I should be loosing more but I have to admit while I'm eating all my Protein (20g @ meal) I think I may be getting to many carbs due to fresh fruit and some chocolate cravings where I've had the Hershey Simply singles. I haven't thrown up at all, but I do get esophogeal spasms if I try to eat to fast. I am still taking the omeprosol (prilosec) and ursidol (for gall bladder). I don't get in enough fluids. Although thank god I can finally drink Water again! I couldn't drink water until week 7 and this past Tuesday was 8 wks for me, but I'm only getting in 2 glasses of water a day. I am trying to increase that by keeping the large (17 oz) water bottles at my desk at work so its right there and I don't have to get up to get water. But it does feel heavy on my stomach. I really don't like the artifical sweetners in crystal light or mio, but sometimes add lemon juice to break the surface tension. I get in at least an hour of walking a day but am also trying to do my exercise bike at least 3x @ wk and want to build myself up to doing it every day. I feel myself falling back into some of my old eating habits, reaching for crackers and PB or cheese instead of eating something more nutritious. Gotta get back in line. Best of luck to everyone!
  3. I was sleeved 12/11. Down 28 lbs. Went back to work 1/15. Been tired this week but thinking maybe its because of the cold weather. I get out of work at 6 so get home late. Eat dinner by 7 then ready for bed and watch tv. Havent been cleared to work out yet. Going for 6 wk check in 2 days. Still have problems drinking water. happy with my sleeve!
  4. Doreen use a blender for the PB2. I have a bullet and its real easy to mix the shakes that way.
  5. If you like peanut butter try a product called PB2 its powdered peanut butter with 85% less calories and fat. I found it at Heinins. But i know you can get it online @amazon. Health food stores may have it. I add it to my shakes and it geta rid of that whey taste.

    All of my December sleevers...

    water

I agree! I always drank water and now it feels "heavy" to me, without knowing a better way to describe it. Just two days ago I got Ocean Spray Cranberry-Pomegranate single serving pouches that mix with water similar to crystal lite, but it doesn't taste as strong as crystal lite. Hope that might help you. Maybe after 3-4 months we can go back to drinking plain water!

    Ounces? Volume or weight?

Hmm i'm 3 wks out and have been using a scale for meat. So i measure 2 oz of chicken on the scale then blender it to puree. So in order to use a measuring cup, do you blender it and then measure 2 oz?
  13. Blueyes32: so glad your.doctor gave you something to coat uour stomach! Thats great news. If you are still feeling dizzy it could be low blood pressure. I dont know if uou are on blood pressure medicine or not, but many people no lpnger need it after their surgery. Again ask your doctor. If thats not it you might be getting dehydrated. Make sure to get your fluids in! Take care! Ff
  14. Hi all! Thanks for the info Mary, I was on week 3 and stalles so its good to know loosing slower is ok even maybe better. Also thank you Sanders for the name of that book, Im going to check it out. I also wanted to mention to anyone having trouble with the taste of their protein shakes.....if you love peanut butter like I do, buy PB2. Its powerded peanut butter! I added it to my vanilla premier shake this morning and its delicious! I wish I had it earlier on because it totally disguises that whey taste in the shakes! You can order it online at Amazon ($5.49) but you have to pay for shipping which is twice ($13.00) the cost of the stuff itself. I found it at Heinins for $6.49 for 6.5oz. You only use 2T @ time so this should last awhile. And The scale finally moved again - down 1.5 lbs. Good luck all!
