I hear the psychological aspect of weight loss takes several years to work itself out. I watch everything surgical on TV, so most of scenes don't bother me. The part I thought was disturbing was all the fat the 700lb guy had in his stomach...OMG!!!

It comes on Tuesdays on TLC at 8:00PM (Central).

They finally showed someone who had the lapband surgery and they showed her getting her first fill!!!!:omg:

my psych eval is on the 12th too. mine is 3 1/2 hours long which is for some sort of written test. i have to come back a week later for the "verbal" evaluation. it will be wishful thinking for my surgery date to be set for august. i was hoping for september being the earliest...

your "friend" is someone i would refer to as a "hater". haters are people who can't stand to see others take control of their situation to better themselves. instead of hating on you, she needs to try to improve her situation and find a spot of her own where she can be just as negative as she pleases. also, one more thing that disturbs me is not only her attitude, but also how close she is to ruining your marriage. i watch a lot of divorce court and maury (lol), and please believe that it's not above her to try to ruin the relationship you have with your husband. misery LOVES company... kick her to the curb now before things get worse! that's just my opinion.

hello. i live in evansville (sw indiana). i'm just starting the official process. i've received a letter stating that my insurance covers this type of procedure. I have UHC Choice Plus. The insurance doesn't require any sort of pre-op diet that other carriers do, which is cool. i have an appointment to see one of the doctors on 6/27. i was told that i would have to see a nutritionist 5 times before i can have the surgery. i'm hoping i can have the surgery done by the end of the summer...that would be great! as for now, i'm just gonna sit back and be patient...:faint: my stats are 5'6, 240lb, no major comorbidities as of yet. my family has a history of being overweight, diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer and other problems relating to being overweight. i'm hoping i'm approved so that i can keep those ailments at bay.
