Richard Foor got a reaction from She's_Sleeved in Should I be able to eat this much?
No, you should stick with your plan that you and your Dr. have set for you. Stalls are usually resulting from your body adjusting and while they are frustrating as hell while they are happening, if you stay the course, when the stall is over you will lose a sizeable amount quickly to make up for it. Also, you might want to track measurements instead of weight for a while because usually when people are "Stalled" they are actually losing inches as their body is transforming fat to muscle at that time. Good Luck, and try to stay positive and enjoy the journey.

Richard Foor got a reaction from Kelly Gonzalez in Cheated
First things is realize you are human and mistakes will happen, don't get down and especially don't let it convince you to give up. You didn't get to this point over night and you can't fix it overnight. We all had cheats of some sort preop and postop but the important thing is to realize your mistakes and learn from them. Good Luck, and stay positive.

Richard Foor got a reaction from LindafromFlorida in Question!?!
I believe this occurs because people are making such drastic changes in their lifestyle that it makes it easier to slip something else in without as much effort as it usually would take. I personally focused as much attention as possible into figuring out the best food alternatives and then also focused onto exercise, to fill that gap in my attention span where i would normally think about and eat. As a result some people believe i am now obsessive about healthy food choices and exercising, but hey if you have to obsess might as well be on things that make you healthier. Good Luck.

Richard Foor got a reaction from ProudGrammy in Coffee and caffeine
This is a question that you will hear many different answers to. The different surgeons tend to answer it differently. I will tell you from my personal experience that i started drinking coffee the day after surgery in the hospital and i do mean real coffee not Decaf, and have drank it every day since. I have not had any problems with it in any way shape or form. I do drink a lot of water( usually 128 oz a day not including the coffee itself, or Protein shakes). This does not mean it will be true for everyone, as everyone is different, just my personal experience. Good Luck.

Richard Foor got a reaction from atelux17 in Queso stuffed chicken breast with corn chip coating
O.k. so here is a new chicken recipe. Take a 4 oz chicken breast use a meat tenderizer hammer on it to make it thin and pliable. Take a chunk of Velveeta Queso Blanco cheese roll the chicken over the queso. Crush some corn chips, I use the Clancy's brand chips from Aldi's, coat the outside of the chicken with the corn chips. preheat the oven to 400 degrees, and cook for 20 minutes. The Relevant numbers are calories 184, Carbs 5, Protein 26, Sodium 602, Fat 5. Not sure what to call it but it was definitely good.

Most of the time when people are talking bad about the surgery they don't really have any clue what there talking about. The stories are always about there friend's cousin or something, and they don't even know which surgery they had. So unless someone is telling you something about the surgery and they themselves had it, I wouldn't put to much weight to it.
Being scared is completely normal and common, just try to keep in mind your reasons for having the surgery and that will guide you through. Good Luck.

    I am 14 months out.
Yes I can eat a whole apple.
I can eat Pasta without problems but choose not to most of the time. Rice still doesn't feel good.
I can drink wine, champagne and beer even but the alcohol does affect me quicker.
I can drink Water fast without problem.
I don't have any sadness because and will even sit with other people while they eat, but this probably varies greatly depending on your personality.
