PEOPLE WHO ONLY DID 3 day liquid pre op diet
I think the sleeve is a great preventitive measure for a female in her 30's not wanting to wait until the weight spirals. It only gets harder to lose as you get older. Yes, BMI of 30 in NZ is considered high. On the whole we are a pretty fit/high active country - afterall we have lots of sheep to chase after It is only the pacific islanders/maori's that raise our national.average. I dont agree it should be the first option for weight loss but she clearly has tried and failed on many other diet and exercise plans and this is the next step.

Gastrointestinal concerns
I could have written this post exactly to every sentence. I have experienced the exact same problems for 2-3 weeks. Went to surgeon about it and he thinks its very uncommon and is stumped, running some blood tests and hopefully that might tell a story. Over the past 3 days since I saw my surgeon I have experienced 2 "gallbladder attacks" (I am pretty certain this is what I am experiencing). So I am thinking the two could be linked? Bowel problems are a sign of gallbladder disease. Gutted cos I dont want to go through another op!!!

Throwing up when constipated?
I'm not straining .... its more the pain from the abdominal cramps that I think is likely to be the cause!! Might need to make more of an effort with fibre rich foods and fingers crossed it just gets better!!

Throwing up when constipated?
Not puking poop, throwing up during a BM (bile if I havent eaten recently or if I have recently eaten whatever I just ate). and really bad abdominal cramps. I am perfectly healthy otherwise!

Throwing up when constipated?
Yes! That has been happening to me in the past 2 weeks (4 times now)... went to surgeon about it he has no clue. I dont feel like in constipated though. But I only go twice a week. I thought that was fairly normal?

I Want To See Before & After Pics!
- 6 months since surgery
My doctor wants me to actually go a little below goal to give me "moving room". The majority of his patients have a bit of regain from their lowest weight to find a maintainable weight. I say go where your body takes you in saying that - you look fab now!!!- How often do you weigh yourself
Every day sometimes twice a day but only "count" weight on same day every week- IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY...THEN DON'T SAY IT.
Sounds like negativity to me ... maybe take some of your own advice???- Progress Pics!
Your back is so toned! Fantastic job!- Percentage of excess weight lost
Because the middle of the BMI is not considered "excess" weight. Once you are healthy you are healthy. I was informing the others how the dr's calculate it from - but I def am aiming for mid range sure!! Depending muscle tone etc as well top of healthy is where some might want to stay and look best at. I think I will re-assess when I get there Yes lucky not to stall but I eat carbs to fuel my workouts and I think that helps.- Percentage of excess weight lost
I'm only 4 1/2 months out and have lost 70% of my excess weight. You work it out from the top "healthy" range of your BMI. I have consistently lost (no stalls yet) and dont see it slowing down anytime soon- Does sleeved stomach is seen in any ultrasound to other doctors
Lol they will be scanning no way near your stomach - they will be looking inside your uterus.- bad food day
You'll prob have a good week on the scales. Ha!- I need inspiration before & after photos please
- Nov Sleevers... What's Your Status?

- My official BEFORE.
Look forward to your AFTER pic! You had exact same stats as me. Im 4 1/2 months post op and down nearly 80lbs. You carry your weight all over so I think you will shrink nicely!- liquor
- Lettuce
Nope - go for it- OK! What do you think?
Take your messurements ... guarentee your scale isnt telling the truth like the poster above said - you are experiencing a stall. Your body is in starvation mode and holding onto everything its got. This can often lead to a gain. You'll start losing again soon.- Slimes! Help!
Yeah I dont think thats quite right ... best to speak to ur surgeon on that one. Slimes should not happen on liquids. Are u drinking really slowly? Tiny sips?- November 5Th Sleevers?
Congratulations!!! Is it your first? It is obviously not recommended but both you and bubs will be just fine!! There is a sleevers peegnancy board on here which may be useful to read through. At 4 months out you can definately feed baby enough nutrients etc. Your stomach will also become more accomodating during the pregnancy. You will both just need to be monitored a bit more closely Chances are u will go through pregnancy and still lose weight ... winning!! You will just have to be good about getting back on track afterwards!! - 6 months since surgery
