  1. Congrats! Well done on achieving your goal weight! Are u finding that u are still losing? or has weight loss stopped now? Curious as I am 6 months out and nearly at GW and I like to set myself goals ... was it hard to lose the last 20lbs?
  2. I'm had VSG at 25. Down 87lbs in 6 months and nearly at goal. I wish I had it done at 22! Being sleeved doesnt mean u miss out drinking beer and eating pizza with friends - u can do all that, just in moderation
  3. Stuff your pockets? Have you told them about your surgery and how detrimental it would be to your performance to not have adequate eating time? Do u think u are able to munch on protein bars in between meals?
  4. Wow over 200lbs! Thats awesome Are you still losing or in maintenance now?
  5. You look fantastic
  6. Awesome - cant even see your scars!!
  7. That happened to me once. I ate and about 20 min after fell asleep. I figured it was undigested food and lying down etc. Are you eating late at night?
  8. What did you cook the beef in? I doubt it was the meat. To rule it out I would try again and if same thing happens then u know Red meat is such a good source of iron.
  9. I was eating red meats at 6 weeks out. It was actually recommended due to the iron. I have no problem with any red meat but I do have problems with white meat!! Fish and chicken is so much drier ... dont wait 4 months! Seems stupid to me.
  10. I had wine at 7 weeks.
  11. I never thought I would post a success story as I deleted my every "before pic" that was horrible. But I found this goodie on an old laptop tonight. Ewww. First pic was taken a few months pre-surgery and second was taken last weekend. I will be 6 months out on the 6th of April - and am down 84lbs with 24lbs to go! Woo-hoo. No major complications, and I am loving life! Weeks leading up to my surgery all I was obsessed with watching youtube videos and forum pics of success stories, so thought I would share some of the love back and I can't wait to see how I look after a year!
  12. Also down 84lbs. 24lbs to go
  13. Its like a sharp stabbing pain just below your rib cage - you will have episodes where after a meal (often fatty or sweet) you feel like your are having a heart attack - think worse than labour pains. During which if u press down on where the pain is it will be very painful. Nausea usually accompanies the attacks as well and can cause you to vomit.
  14. My surgeon said 50% @ 6 months 75% @ 1 year and 100% over 2 years.
  15. Yeah I'm really pleased with my results ... I'm waiting for my weight loss to start slowing down ... e.g. 1lb a week (not that I want it to). My main tips are dont deprive yourself, eat your fav things occasionally in moderation and mix it up food-wise everyday so u dont go into starvation mode, its a reason I have not stalled once I think. Also strength train as well as cardio - its important for us as it builds muscle and tones skin but it also burns more calories as well. I do two sessions a week and I'm starting to see shape!! Good luck all
  16. Sleeved 6th. Down 85lbs. 24lbs to go till goal weight
  17. Sounds like gallbladder to me
  18. Its your gallbladder .... cant believe your doctor didnt pick that up at your 3 month check up from your symptoms!
  19. Definately sounds like gallbladder. Especially if it often the pain comes on in the evening? just after u have eaten?
  20. Great job! Your sons .... yummy!!! Haha.
