  1. Overall i had a fantastic recovery like i expected. I had nausea for the first few hours which was managed pretty quickly via meds. Only the first 2 days were what have i done to myself moments. No vomiting and zero pain. I slept on my stomach after 3 days. I even had enough energy to do a 6km event run 10 days later. 8 weeks out now and 50lbs down. I feel great. I'm a happy customer
  2. I had a week 2 stall lasting 10 days. They can happen anytime .... you still lose inches though so it's just the scale catching up.
  3. ONLY 9lbs?? That's a good loss at 6 months out! I never join gyms cos i can never stick with it. Walking ... running .... swimming ... team sports? Mix it up with some weights and toning exercises too!
  4. You aren't ding anything wrong. Your body is just catching up ... you are going through what's called a stall. Were you not told about them by your DR or NUT?
  5. Rice crackers 3rd week.
  6. 32lbs since surgery .... 47lbs including 2 weeks pre-op
  7. You look fantastic With over 15lbs a month lost I think you are doing great! Keep it up
  8. Not on my plan but everyone seems to have a diff set of rules.. How about powerade zero or a sugarfree alternative. If you need some kind of sugar though try V8 diluted 1:2 or apple juice diluted 1:5
  9. Duhhhhh .... I meant the OP diet of pureed vegies and fruit
  10. Where's the protein though??? That's a full carb diet right there.
  11. Have you tried pureed meat??? EW.
  12. Oh dear ... go back in there. I try to adjust to my diet to food menus. Eating with family is important to me. I did chose the op and i dont want them to have to make food choices and sacrifices around my diet. The other day my family wanted sushi. I cant eat rice. So pushed out and ate the veges and meat. Why can't you pick the top of the pizza and eat the meat and cheese? Go for an extra long walk when you get home
  13. It's just a stall. I had mine after 7 days and it lasted 10 days. Measure yourself - you will still be losing inches your body's just catching up now!! 30-40lbs in the first month is quite unrealistic unless you were at a high weight to begin with. Aim for 20 lbs otherwise you will set yourself up for disappointment. I thinking lost 23lbs and I'm a runner ...
  14. SleeveNZ replied to abridgie's topic in Food and Nutrition
Sorry me just stereotyping. I assumed U.S and fried meant in a litre of fat. I make omelettes every morning with spray oil or 1 tsp butter. That could be another alternative?

You can have scrambled, poached eggs after 3 weeks. Fried - never. This is on my avoid permanently list. You need to make lifestyle choices with this op.
  16. My concern is what the OP is going to be eating when they are cleared for most foods .... cookies, popcorn are slider foods and chicken nuggets that are processed and deep fried .... hmmm. I am sure you haven't done any permanent damage but you really need to be sticking to your plan .... all these are no-no foods. Here's me thinking I'm all bad arse and rebel for moving to puree stage 1 day early at 3 weeks!!
  17. I could have red meat straight away. Had no problems
  18. 1 egg omelette with low fat cheese, 1 slice ham, and spring onion and water to make it light and fluffy. Delish.
  19. Sleeved November 6th. Down 45lbs. 65lbs to go.
  20. Also 7 weeks out and still get hungry ... not like before as it is so easily satisfied again. I also feel like my current portion sizes are smaller than they should be. I was told by 3 months I should be eating between 1/2-3/4 cup. There is no way I can do that currently eating dense protein. Very occasionally I will measure lunch and eat it over the afternoon as I find reduces snacking.
  21. Never weighed my food as I can never get anywhere near the recommended amount by my NUT! My stomach tells me when I'm full Who wants to measure food on Xmas day anyways?
