  1. 4 weeks? I'd say you are right on track! Trust me most of us went through a depressive state right around then! Hormones going crazy from weight loss, a changing body and mourning our comfort and friend food. I knew going into this that the depression was a real part of it at this stage so I was able to ride it out knowing it was coming and "normal" Be nice to yourself and know it will pass
  2. Please, you did nothing wrong to feel guilty about. When you love someone you love them through life and the changes that come with it. I don't understand when people split because their partner or spouse is "not the same person I married" I am not the same person my husband married all those years ago and he is not the same either! We've signed up for this journey to know each other through all of our changes. Unfortunately your girl wasn't able to grasp the beauty and honor of someone letting another in to their lives to share good and bad and yes the changes we go through. She was not the right one. But know that this frees you to find the right one and live and love the way it's meant to be.
  3. Ha, fiddle that's what I did with the damn trail mix! I actually ate it through dinner time I never actually had a meal for dinner because I just kept eating the trail mix.... It tasted so good and went down so easy no restriction just "comfort eating" at it's best. Oh and yes Leanne that's what I feel is the best thing about 5:2. We are so regimented with our eating that our bodies get used to it, whether it be 800 a day or 1800.
  4. If its only a 1/2 pound it's luck! I really ate crappy for a few days there.. It's the snack foods that still get me. We bought "trail mix" that had red candied peanuts in it and I know i ate half the bag myself. My hand just kept grabbing handfuls. Those and cheese it's are my downfalls... still.
  5. i hate when the pictures don't show up! So anyway part of my hiking around in Moab
  6. I just noticed you are having surgery with Marc Zare he was my surgeon too. He's a good man and an awesome surgeon.
  7. I just got home last night too! Yes the altitude of 10,000 feet +, made things difficult.. I hiked a bit when we got to Moab (utah) though it was over 100 degrees but at least I was able to breath! I'm eyeballing my treadmill right now. And just having a hard time even thinking about running I'm so tired! In Moab those little dots are my husband and son!
  8. Ok girls and guys barely made it through the day.. A bit over at 525. But considering what I had to deal with today including the family stopping at "in and out" burger, and eating that stuff in front of me, I did pretty good! Oh and my scale tonight said I've gained 1/2 pound on vacation, if its true, i'll take it!!! I have 2 jars of PB2 that I bought after being sleeved... It's ok. But I have a confession I don't eat it. When I go shopping I grind non salted plain nuts. I just grind a little every week and if I get the need I eat a spoonful.
  9. Thank you Susan for moving it
  10. I'll see if I can get Susan to move it...
  11. OTR has taken a break from VST and no longer moderates... But I personally hope he comes back soon! Yes the vets forum is a free for all these days! I miss the good old days when I would get yelled at for being there
  12. Anybody want to move this thread??? Skinniness! Great loss! I'm going to have a tough morning I know because everyone wants to go out to eat.. And I'm doing my fast but I know I will feel better afterwards so it will be worth it. Oregondaisy how goes the morning so far?
  13. OMG we are in Vegas now and the hotel is outrageous! And guess what there is a scale in the bathroom!!! I saw it and got scared because I've been eating so bad... Today was the worse we had wood fired pizza with prosciutto, gruyere, Grapes. So good I ate two pieces!! Oh but the scale I just stepped on it with my clothes on (I usually weigh naked). Up two pounds. If its true? not bad! There is hope! I'm coming home tomorrow so I will fast on the way home. Oh yes Oregondaisy I agree.
  14. These quest bars are everywhere! I've not tried one but I'm going to have to one day they sound good. Can't wait to get back on track. Today I've eaten like a fat queen We are in the land of excess today (Vegas)
  15. I'm so out of it! I don't even know what day it is!!! I need to get home that's all I know!
  16. Just wanted to say good luck tomorrow. Take some nice deeps breaths... And get some rest, you have a big day tomorrow!
