  1. And congrats on pre op. I started my liquid diet pre op a week ago. One more day then it is surgery day for me! If you want to chat send me a message
  2. Do u have an iPad or iPhone? There is a really nice app I used for a while. Called "calorie count" you can even scan bar codes to bring up food. Keep track of exercise and meet people.
  3. I am at 8lbs or less for the first 4-6 weeks.
  4. It's not good to feel sick but I guess it is something to make sure you don't over eat. If you don't want to get sick don't over eat. Weird but good tool to make sure people don't. And your right. I've started my pre op liquid diet, that isn't easy, neither was the 2 years of trying to get approved. And I'm sure it's not easy afterwards either.
  5. We will get through this and we have a healthier and happier future to look forward to.
  6. Yep one of my best friends fought with me for a good hour saying I am going to take the " easy way out". It got me mad but I know this isn't easy so I take what she says with a grain of salt and look towards my healthier and happier future.
  7. Congrats!!!! 4 more days till my big day can't wait!
  8. Where did you get it and for how much?
  9. Congrats! Hopefully not long before you get your date!
  10. Congrats!!! Mine is Dec 4 in michigan.
  11. Sorry to hear! But don't give up! I got approved at the beginning of the month after trying to get approved for 2 years. I have to do 2 behavioral assessments, 6 months supervised weight loss, 4 seminars, 2 dietary classes, had to get notes from 4 of my doctors saying they think surgery would help me, and had to meet with my weight loss counselor about 5 times. It was crazy but I stuck with it and in the end it paid off and I hope it does the same for you keep your head up.
  12. My surgery date is December 4!! I start my liquid diet on November 27. I am so excited but also very nervous. but I know I am ready for all of the work and can't wait to start a new and healthier life good luck to all of the December sleevers!!!
  13. Hey! For sure! Feel free to send me a friend request and we can talk through PMs ..Awesome the 12th! They were predicting mine was going to be around December 17, and now it is the 4th. I am super excited, but getting a little nervous just probably because I didn't expect it this soon! But I am ready, I have already been working hard. How are you feeling about it?
  14. I finally got my date! December 4th!! I can't believe I got it that soon! Anyone else getting it on December 4th? Maybe we can be sleeve buddies and go through it all together! My liquid diet starts November 27. So excited, after 2 years of trying.
  15. Sounds great jodimc, I would love to be a sleeve buddy, especially since our surgeries might be around the same time!
  16. The best ones I have found so far (I am still trying out new flavors) are the Isopure protien shakes, Muscle Milk Light (Strawberry Banana)...if you like the taste of banana. And Syntha Phase Cookies and Cream are my favorites so far I know what you mean with chocolate protien shakes, I had a very hard time drinking those, try other flavors besides chocolate and vanilla, I am sure you will find one you like. Next I am getting a tropical punch protien drink, not sure how it will be, but it is definatly something different.
  17. Hello, and welcome. I am a bit new here myself. The 6 month diet is not bad, mine just ended at the end of September and I get my surgery date on the 16th of this month! 6 months seems like a long time, but trust me it usually goes by quick, and weirdly for me, I was thankful for the 6 month diet because it taught me a lot before all the other pre surgical steps. It also was an easier way (for me) to learn to give up carbinated drinks, which now Im completely off of them, and no cravings for them. If you want to talk more about it with me, or just be weight loss buddies send me a message Good luck with your diet! Just remember it will be worth it, and you can do it!!
  18. Wow congrats! you look wonderful! I bet you feel great too! Keep up the great work!
  19. Thank you for the advice iegal! I will def. do all of that.
  20. Hello everyone! I am new to this site. My insurance just accepted me finally after 2 years of trying! I am finally getting the official date of my surgery on the 16th of this month, they said my surgery will most likely be in the middle of December! Oh, I can't wait! I don't have much support from my friends, but my family completely supports me, and that is good enough for me. Any advice on getting more prepared for surgery during this next month for me? Besides the pre op diet/excercising? Also maybe looking for a sleeve buddy that might be having their surgery around the time of mine . Thanks for all of your help!
  21. Hey! I am hoping for a December Sleeve. I go to see my surgeon and set up my surgery date on the 16th of this month. I asked them what they though and they said most likely in December I will be able to get it. My insurance just accepted me (finally) a week ago after 2 years of trying! P.s. If anyone wants a Sleeve Buddy, I am new to the site and would like one as well
