Anyone else's world revolve around food?
I know what you mean, I felt the same way...when I was a child I was in gymnastics and dance too..maybe that is why I love the gym so much now, because it is making me remember those things, being active....and I use to love it. And I also know what you mean about friends and confidence...mine has greatly improved, I hope the same for you If you want to chat or have questions feel free to send me a friend request, I am open to chatting anytime

Frustrated!
I would have done the same thing, it might be frustrating, but think of it this way... Would you rather not weight and have to be in a dirty hospital, or wait a little longer for something better? But I know it is frustrating, it took me 2 years to even get accepted! And I had to go to 3 different hospitals before finding the one my insurance approved. But trust me, in the end, it is worth it..and all the frustrations will disappear! Keep your head up, look towards the future and good luck in your journey

Anyone else's world revolve around food?
Actually I really did hate working out before surgery. I started to like it more when I found a work out buddy, now it is more like hanging out...working out and chatting with a friend. It took me about a month before I started to like the gym at all...but after I realized how good it made me feel after working out I started to like it. And of course it is always awesome to see improvement in the gym as well. For example: When I first started the gym I could only do 5 mins on the elliptical, now I can easily do 30. Or like when I started I couldn't even do the stair master...it was too hard, now I am up to doing 10 mins on it every time I go So those types of things have given me motivation to keep going and to keep on my diet.

I cannot believe what I'm doing...don't I get it?
Don't beat yourself up too much, it is hard to change. Just keep reminding yourself on why you had the surgery, and look towards the future. What's done is done and all you can do is pick yourself up and start again trying to stay on your diet Good luck with everything!

Anyone else's world revolve around food?
It was very hard for me to stop eating the bad stuff, but weirdly a few months after surgery, and getting more into working out...I enjoy that more than I do with eating now. So I make sure I get all of my intake for the day calorie/protein wise and that is about it...yeah it was hard at the beginning..it is something you learn. Good luck with your journey!

kicked off of a fair ride....
I haven't been to an amusement park since but when I hit my goal weight I am going back to ride that ride I couldn't. I'll still be scared I won't fit just because how embarrassed I was. But I'm sure I'll fit

kicked off of a fair ride....
2 summers ago my friend paid for me to go to an amusement park with her and another friend. The first ride we went on. We waited in line for 2 hours to find out my safety strap wouldn't close. I was kicked off. I waited for my friends to get off of the ride, I was so embarrassed I refused to go on any other rides that day. So I basically sat on benches all day waiting for hours for my friends to go through lines and ride rides. Ended up crying almost all the way home, which was 4 hr drive.

Goal?
I set my goal at the high end of the healthy BMI, once I hit that I will probably set a new goal if I feel like my body type will be good to lose more weight. Good luck

Please be honest
To be 100% honest... I was in horrible pain for the first two days, the pain meds help, but it still hurts. It's a major surgery, there is pain. All I can say is it DOES get a lot better as time goes by. By day 5 I was completely off pain meds and pain free!!! Totally worth it!!! Good luck!

I do not enjoy food anymore
I feel the same way!!! I don't enjoy eating anymore, even food I use to love just doesn't taste the same anymore. Which I love because I enjoy healthy food now just as much as I enjoyed unhealthy food. It just doesn't matter to me, I eat because I need to now, not really because I want to.

Anyone get denied by insurance for gaining a few lbs?
They told me I had a chance of getting denied if I gained, but I don't know if I would have because I was down when I sent everything in to my insurance. Good luck.
