  1. You have choosen an amazing surgon. I had mine done 6 weeks ago with him and I felt and was treated with amazing care. You will do great I follows his post open loosely. I looked at all kinds of place s and just went with a bit of each. I did 1 week clears 2 weeks of shakes and full fluids and right into soft foods and now I am pretty much tolerating all foods If you want a texting friend. I am here for ya.
  2. I walked starting 4 hours after my surgery. I set a goal of 10 minutes at the top of every hour. When the TV shows changed. I would get up and walk walk walk. I would just keep doing it till my time was up. If I didn;t get in at least 7-10 laps I wo0ud not go back and watch tv. I did this every hour and I truly felt the best when walking. I hated sitting or laying. There was far too much pressure in my chest.
  3. I popped a low fat cheeze it in my soup 2-3 week in I had a small handful 5-7 chocolate chips when I was making cookies last week. I WILL NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE EAT CHOCOLATE. I had super bad heartburn that I aspirated and was up all night dying! Heavy breathing and vomiting and coughing up acid. Learned my stupid lesson.
  4. YOU'RE NOT HUNGRY. you should be eating every 3- hours small Protein rich meals. Drink Water, Go for a walk ( small or big) GO find something to do. Set a Timer for 30 min. Drink more water. If after 30 min if your still hungry have some protien. If your tummy "feels" hungry make sure you are are on a effective PPI.
  5. I am almost 6 weeks and s tarting to eat normalish... I had chicken last night that was baked with broccoli and cheese and I did well. We are all different however. Give yourself 5-6 weeks
  6. you probably do not need one. I did not. There was always a floor doctor on the floor who spoke english pretty well. The nurses know the key words. And if I needed a towel or something I just showed them what I was needing. It was no big deal for me
  7. It won;t stop them at all. Only thing that will stop surgery is a fever. Good luck, no excuses
  8. I am glad to hear that you like being on liquids cause It's easier. I agree 100% with you Congratulations on your incredible weight loss. I am 4 weeks and only lost 20 I am losing inches like nuts though
  9. I did a few times when it was umm substantial LOL Gross But no difference. DO you see a difference? And why not count it?
  10. Dr. Ponce Was my surgeon too. LOVED him. Your staples will get covered by your scar tissue but they are yours forever.
  11. That is funny. It shows for desperate we become huh!
  12. That's awful. I am sorry you have to do this. Insurance companies are like big ol bullies! That's why I went to Mexico! Good luck with your adventure
  13. I had blue dye for my drain test however That tasted like liquid hell
  14. I have never heard of any hospital putting flavor in the contrast. I just drank it. That's weird
  15. Go to mexico and have your tummy and boos done for 6k.
  16. I can guarantee you are not hungry! your probably dehydrated and not even know it, or it maybe all the extra acid, its a habitual eating pattern. When I feel "hungry" I drink a glass of Water and take a walk outside down the street and back and set a timer when I get back home for 20 min. Finish that glass of water. If IA m still hungry at that time then I will allow some eating. I am still on liquids so a snack of Jello or a 1/4 Soup. Generally the water and walk will make that "hunger" go away.
  17. WOW I am so thrilled for you! You make me hope and believe that it really can happen for me.
  18. I love this product, I have tried chocolate, vanilla, fruit punch and strawberry. All are good. Fruit punch is a little chemically
  19. I use amp amplified wheybolic 60 from GNC. It has 280 calories, 2 grams sugar and 60 grams protien for 12 oz. It says to mix with Water and the chocolate tastes like a yohoo drink. I tried mixing with milk today and it made it creamier. I love it. Try that. It comes in 5 flavors, Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, fruit punch and Cookies and cream.
  20. Sorry forgot to mention brand It's amp amplified wheybolic. It has 60 gram protein
  21. I found this Protein powder at GNC it has 69 grams of protein, 2grams sugar and 280 calories. It tastes amazing. Not grainy and too sweet. I got a tub of each flavor. Fruit punch chocolate vanilla Cookies and cream and strawberry. The chocolate with Water tastes like yohoo and the fruit punch is so good. You mix with water instead of milk unless you just want the milk. It's rather inexpensive I was so excited with 1 shake I can hit my protein goal. What do you all think?
  22. I feel like a new woman today. Gas pains are less. Just sore. Passed my leak test and am drinking something hot. Feel much better
  23. These gas pains are no joke! I am walking cause it's the only way I feel.OK. pain meds are not working well and I am just miserable. About to shower.
