I LOVE thrift stores and Goodwill and I know exactly what you mean by seeing something on the rack you've donated

How many carbs are in the shake after you add the fruit, yogurt etc...Maybe that particular mixture has a little to much sugar? I know I'm that way as far as if I eat anything early in the day that has too much sugar, I'm starving by 1 or 2.

I'm about the same amount of days out from surgery as you. Honestly since it was just the one time. I would have done the same thing! I am on the phase two (lasts 5 weeks after operation) diet for the gastric sleeve. I can have creamed soup, oatmeal, malt o meal, jello etc..I am curious as to why I can't have cooked egg whites, or cottage cheese especially since they contain protein. The consistency of oatmeal flakes is much rougher (or even malt o meal) than an egg white that has the consistency of jello, or oatmeal. It confuses me why certain soft foods like those aren't on my very limited food list.
So sorry about your grandmother.

I had my surgery in Nov. 2012 too. I bought some bags of 100 cal. Pop Secret popcorn just the other day. It was pretty good and taste even better when I sprayed "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" on it.
I cheat too...made some chocolate covered strawberries just the other day and they were glorious! lol
I ate way more than I should have. Odd how I can eat a good amount of some things, and not much at all of others.
My metabolism is SLOW. I am 15-20lbs. from my goal and my weight loss has slowed down On average I average 6-8lbs. a month. This month I only lost 5...and I started losing a noticeable amount of hair last month.
