I had to take the shots after having my c-section. I had a blood clot in my arm and had to take Lovenox for an entire month!
I couldn't give it to myself so my mother did it for me. She was instructed by the nurse in the hospital to pinch some of my belly and stick that. It is not bad at all. Depending on your complexion, you may have bruising or a little soreness for a few minutes. Maybe you can have a nurse show your husband?

38 Days!!! I wonder if the liquid diet is easier for you because it was your choice and not forced ? I am watching the boards as well and most of the complaints are nausea and gas. I've experienced gas that had me in tears so I hope WE will have it easy!

Good for you! I dealt with nausea also. It was pretty ba when I was in the hospital. It would just hit me like a ton of bricks and my mouth would just start watering on controllably. They gave me the meds and it didn't help. Finally on the third day it started going away and was completely gone by the fifth day. I too have no regrets. I am 7weeks out tomorrow and down 43lbs! Hi Kathy! Glad you are feeling better. They pump us up with so much IV fluid I actually gained weight. It took about a week to get rid of it. You are almost a week out already!!!! Yay! I am three weeks out tomorrow and am feeling pretty good. Weight loss kind of slowed a bit, but think I am going to stop weighing everyday (was so excited though) and just do a week so I can see the trend instead of daily ups and downs. Just take it very slow. Hernia repairs aren't any fun without the sleeve. You have a lot of stuff to heal though, so protein is going to be very important.

My surgery is July 10th too! Good Luck! I'm nervous! You'll have to keep me posted on your experience and progress!

Glad to hear its getting better for you.. I had my surgery June 25th and My husband and kids were outside in the pool yesterday and BBqing. God I wanted a burger so bad. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. I'm such a fatty I wanted to just lick the chicken...Whats wrong with me...lol...

I read some of your before posts with all the problems with insurance you were having, so I'm happy to see you were able to get your surgery and that youre doing well. Good luck to you:)

tonibugg I'm actually quite tempted. I want a juicy burger but in my gut I do not feel hungry like that empty hungry feeling. Every day the pains get a little better.

I am two weeks post op and for some reason was so relaxed when I went to the hospital. I guess I was just "ready". They found a hernia while doing my sleeve and repaired that at the same time. I am happy to tell you that the surgery is pain free because you are asleep. You will rely on pain meds for a day or two, so that won't be bad. Then, it really is just a sore feeling. I was just tired. You will be fine!! It is so worth it!

I just had my surgery on June 29th and am having almost the exact same weird pains! I hate those weird hiccup things!! AHHHH they hurt! I am doing only clear liquids this week and moving on to protein shakes etc next week. I haven't had the head hunger either. My husband and my daughter stopped and got chinese on the way home from the hospital, they were starving lol, and I honestly did not want anything, NOTHING! It was weird to not feel tempted, hungry, something anyway! I am happy with my broth, water and peach SF jello =) and I don't even want that half the time.
Anyway, I really enjoyed your post! I felt the same way going into surgery, nervous is not even a good adjective to use lol then the weird pains (I had gas pains under my shoulder blade for a day but Gas X got rid of that quick like!) the hiccups and the diaphram odd pain. Crazy! I hope your next couple of days goes well and hope you find time to post another blog! Thanks again!

If you mean for the Syntrax Nectar it's one serving per packet with 8 oz of water or almond milk, whatever you want really. Same for Unjury.

I have been gargling salt water the last 2 days and it helps a lot. I stopped taking the Tylenol on Friday morning I think was the last one I had so I'm not going to take any other medicines.
Just been drinking liquids and eating some vitamin C throat drops that are sugar free. I don't like the juice plus I'm not allowed it in my pre-op diet. I'm only minimally stuffy at all now but my throat, although not painful, is swollen.

Rest is the best medicine. Your body does a huge amount of healing while you are sleeping. Drink orange juice, and chicken broth. Real chicken broth!! It's a proven cure Stress will make you sick so relax your body and mind. Be careful with the Tylenol it can raise your Liver enzymes. Good Luck !!

Can you try a netti pot for your sinuses and a salt and warm water gargle for your throat?

just looked at them, do you just mix the packets with water??? Is it one serving per packet? website doesnt give much info.
