Oh how I wish I could take weeks off!! I'm a single mom, and just a manicurist who works for herself. If I don't work, bills don't get paid! So I'm having surgery Friday and back to work the following Wednesday - so Cupcake I'm happy to see you feel great after 4 days!! My days are slightly lighter the rest of that week (6 clients instead of 9). I will keep my Protein next to me and sip ALL day and make sure I have those gas x strips nearby if needed. Hopefully I'm good to go and they give me the good drugs to get me through. I know I'll be so ready for that weekend! Luckily my 6.5yr old is crazy easy. I get home too late to cook most nights,so she actually has tv dinners quite often (they calories aren't super high and not much frankenfoods in it, so I'm ok with it). Will make it much easier on me not to have to cook right away since I'm not eating it anyway!
I AM looking forward to the day before surgery at the hotel pool and the 3 days in the hospital. Hopefully I recover easily and at least can enjoy the last on those days before flying home. Surgication here I come!

Is it just me or does it seem like we have a lot of really beautiful people on this site? Half the time I see women's avatars I think they are already post op and find out they are pre op.

You are with an abusive person. You don't deserve this. No human being should be treated this way.
If you don't get things for him he will have to get them himself. You aren't his servant.
I hope you are talking to your counselor about the abuse you are enduring.
I was in an abusive marriage too. He is a heartless soulless person and I can't tell you how much better my life is without him.

I agree with @Loveit2012. I feel like this is an uncomfortable thing to say to a stranger online, but from everything you've said, he does indeed sound abusive, and it doesn't sound like this is a recent development. Have you considered leaving? At the very least, you should get some distance for a week or two. Take any kids or pets that may be involved and just get out for a while. Go stay with family or friends.

I think my problem is that I am so used to doing everything and being there for everyone that it is very difficult for me to not be able to help and to do things. Maybe if I could have kind of had my time off in a little house by myself I would have enjoyed it more? But when you have a child and there are things going on that you just can't do, well I felt guilty for not being able to do what I usually do. It all worked out and my daughter actually adapted really well and was very compassionate towards me.
    I think it's a mom thing!

I didn't miss work but I wouldn't say I enjoyed my time off. I felt tired and crappy a lot.
No I really can't say I enjoyed it. I needed every single day off that I had. And I'm really glad I didn't have to be around people and their food smells while I was on puree.
But no, no enjoyment really. Just healing.

In December 2006 my daughter looked in my new closet and gasped....."Mom, is that all the clothes you have?" Really, it was pitiful, but I was working then, and I felt so ugly and fat I would not buy clothes or shoes. I had 4 pair of black pants. Now, I am a beautifully dressed retired 67 year old woman with style. I discovered a certain brand and let me tell you, they were made for me. I have never had so many clothes in my life! I feel like a diva in my size 12, and my 1X and 2X are GONE. I have a spring in my step that had long gone by the wayside...... Everything I ever wanted in life has come my way, even at this age. I honestly wonder if you can visualize a pair of pink and green camo SHORT SHORTS from Cabela's (they sell hunting/fishing stuff) that my husband bought me. I put the ugly things on and he hooted and hollered LOL. I won't wear the ugly things but gave him a thrill anyway. I wish everyone so many blessings and good health, but mainly just to feel great about yourselves! It is priceless!

About the fish pictures, I think that some guys only take selfies when they have caught a fish, harvested a deer or something similar. Or maybe, they are Chandler Bing and can't smile when a camera is otherwise pointed at them, LOL. Anyway, maybe they are good guys, just saying... signed the a wife of a great guy with a ton of bass fishing selfies :-D

Not that in particular. The point is, things change. Doctors get better or worse, food and Vitamin manufacturers go out of business or formulas change, medical opinion changes, etc. being brand new to this, I have no idea about history of those things but I am used to other things changing rapidly.
I was only suggesting a reason to keep dialogue open, and not trying to be rude. Perhaps I'm in the minority.

Zipped up a pair of size 16s today! I started out in a tight 22. Might wait until I lose another 10 lbs or so before I wear them out in public though as the muffin top is really bad (as you can tell!)

If I were you I would find a therapist who works with bariatric people. There are many reasons why you are still wanting sugar.
Old habits are hard to break. But also there are I believe a lot of people who gain weight as protection and use food to soothe themselves.
If you have trauma in your back ground that could be a huge part of it.

My surgeon says one cup of coffee a day is fine. That's all I have. I am off carbonation and alcohol. He doesn't want us drinking for a year. I don't think I will drink until I hit goal.

You need omiprezole. Something serious. My surgeon has us taking it for six months. If that doesn't work call your surgeon.

Not all men are the way you describe. I have mostly dated men from other countries or racial backgrounds than mine because every other country or race in the world, except the typical white american or European men, like their women softer

Marysminute! Lol that's true online or in person! There are lots of men just looking for sex, but there are also lots of men who are tired of dating and want to settle down. Typically, until a man is closer to 30, they are still in their "wild oats" stage. Also. If you let them know you are not opposed to sex altogether, just not open to sex until marriage or when in a loving committed relationship, they should relax a little. There are a lot of women who have either sexual abuse or self conscious issues with their bodies, which prevent them from ever enjoying sex. Since sex is really a big deal to men, they seem to try to weed out the ones who won't ever want sex. On the other hand, when it comes to men, let them chase you more than you chase them because your value will go up tremendously. If you make them wait for sex at least a good 90 days, they will have invested enough in the relationship that they will not want to give you up!
