  1. That is the most important part! You have to feel comfort in your surgeon!!! Congrats!!!
  2. I still have a Protein Isopure every few days! And a protein drink daily!!! I love my unjury warn chocolate or vanilla every once in a while on these cold nights! Protein drinkers you are not alone! My kids love em too!!!
  3. I also had Dr. Korman the support from his office is a major part of my success! Congrats on your weight loss!
  4. I am still only eating Protein. I have tried veggies and fruit, I am just not ready to add them until goal has been reached. I do have a bite every once in a while. I can only eat about 3 oz of yogurt or cottage cheese at a time and one and a half oz of meat at a time. I still only eat 5-6 small meals a day. I still don't feel hungry some days and forget to eat til late in the day.
  5. I have had the best support from his office and he is very personable. My husband even says if it wasn't for the support I had from them he doesn't think i would be as successful as I have been this far! I had surgery on Oct. 22nd 2012
  6. I used Dr. Korman in Marina Del Rey I searched a few dr.'s all over southern california. If you have a choice check him out...
  7. I have had pop corn, however I measured it out. I had a 1/3 cup and was enough to satisfy my craving. That was at christmas time. This morning I woke up craving it. But I always make a deal with myself. If I am still craving it in a week I will allow myself to have it. I have not had oatmeal. I have had cream of wheat but I didn't eat much of it at all!
  8. I had my surgery October 22nd and I can only eat about 3 oz. of cottage cheese or yogurt. I have had a hot dog with out the skin and no bread, however I am only able to eat about half of it. I eat about an ounce and a half of chicken, beef, or turkey at any sitting. I still can't eat veggies at the same time as my protein. I am ok with snaking on 5-6 small meals a day. The only thing I wish is I could have a few things at one time.
  9. Fridgelocker.com I just sat and watched that whole infomercial! LOL... the bear looks like my damn kids!!!! LoL Love it!
  10. I told my husband if he wanted to continue to eat anything after dinner he had to do so in the kitchen like a single woman!!! I don't want food around me... Now that he has got the hang of it, he ask can I fix you a warm Protein drink. I'm sure he does that so that way he doesn't feel bad about eating.
  11. I try to remember to take my 2 vitamins each day, however to answer your question I am lucky to remember to even take one! It sucks... I feel like I have pregnancy brain all over again! I forget things mid sentence and constantly forget why I even got up off the couch.... not why am I in this room...Why am I getting up again? LOL
  12. That IS success!!!! How happy you must be now!
  13. Do share what is the web site? Please?!?!
  14. Finally made them and changed it up a bit. Used cottage cheese instead of ricotta cheese. Was tasty! Even my picky eater that will only eat lasagna if I make it (the old way) said "its good mom, but maybe next time make me a few with regular noodles?" Even after saying that he cleaned his plate!
  15. I have the same insurance and did all the above was approved within 3 days! I was declined the first time (only took 3 days) for my weight at 39.8 BMI then went in reweighed and had 40 BMI (took 3 days) submitted for approval... Hope this helps Good Luck!!
  16. I am right there with you oldnavee! I was given cell numbers to my nurse and Dr. I called him one day and he asked if he could call me when he was done with his 1/2 marathon! I felt like I was imposing calling him... I can email my Dr., Nurse, NUT, or Psychiatrist and get a response with in a few hours if a phone call is not necessary. It all depends on how you look at this. You could think it is to fast but sometimes it takes swift kick in the hind end to get you ready for this! I mentally prepared myself from the time I researched this over a year and a half ago. Then when I was approved... I couldn't have been more ready. This group is great support and you can ask anything and get a handful of great and useful advice! I wish you all the best and I hope it goes as you have planned.
  17. I have the same insurance and was approved within 3 days I had a 40 BMI and no co-morbidities my Dr.'s office called as soon as they heard. they may know something first ting Monday morning!! GOOD LUCK!!

Gonna take my brain time to catch up! Some days are worse than others. Some days I graze and others I dont even want to eat. I wish you the best!!
