  3. I submitted for approval and was denied... I couldn't take the stress of not being approved so I didn't re submit for 2 months! I sewed a lot of stuff for my kids and cleaned ALOT!
  4. I kept myself busy! I would go nuts if I didn't.
  5. I knew within 3 days about my denial. 4 days after the appeal I got my approval. They are pretty straight forward if you meet all requirements!
  6. Yes that happens to me! I was able to eat eggs. Now I vomit instantly... and have a stuck feeling for hours!!!
  7. No felt it internally. They are all healed and closed.
  8. OK so I was rubbing on one of my incisions and it popped! Is this normal? According to research it is. But I want to make sure I didn't pop a stitch. I am almost 4 weeks out. It didn't hurt when it popped but it is very tender to the touch now. Any input or thoughts of what this could be would be greatly appreciated!
  9. I think you can! They are sugar free and on sale for 8.99 right now too! I got a 6 month supply
  10. I found the you can get calcium chews at Costco that are sugar free for only 12 bucks it is 180 count, and just as similar to bariatric advantage for so much cheaper! Oh and with Costco ones you only need to take 3 a day not 6.
  11. I use raw Shea butter on my scars twice a day. I am 3 weeks out and they are very minimal. I was also told to try vitamin E.
  12. I was sleeved on the 22nd of October. I am starting to feel a bit better. I have felt great since I woke up from surgery other than the damn chest pain from the hernia repair. As far as weight goes I was down 25 lbs at the beginning of this week. I only weigh in on Monday and measure.
  13. I had my Mirena removed because of the weight gain, headaches, and low sex drive! The side affects sucked!!! Since having it removed I feel 200% better! I went to a web site called curezone to research if what and how I was feeling was because of the Mirena. I discovered I was not alone in what I was feeling and I was not the only one being affected by most of the side effects. If the Mirena works for you that is great! It doesn't work for everyone! I am happy with the decision I made.
  14. Congratulations! I felt the same way!!! I walked like crazy while in the hospital. Then when I got home. Other than a few minor issues from my hernia repair I feel great! I'm 3 1/2 weeks out. Wish you only the best on your new journey!
  15. UNjury is online order only. And there are no noodles. To give you an idea.... it taste Like cup of noodle without noodles.
  16. We provide our own insurance. We have anthem. Our payments were and are 697 a month. I had started looking into this surgery last year in Feb. When we had Kaiser... my husbands boss decided he didn't like Kaiser for his family anymore there for all employees were told to get their own insurance. We chose a PPO. I had to wait 6 months I order to even see if I could be approved. Because of the pr-exsiting that new insured had a waiting period. First time around I was denied. The dr. and his nurse worked with me I order to get approved. Told me what was required and how to deal with it all. It took an additional 3 months for approval., but I got approved. In the process I found that having the insurance was worth it! I know now if I were to self pay and something happen insurance wouldn't cover the extra hospital stay, I would! If I went to Mexico the Dr. And his staff that I fell in love wouldn't even see me afterwards to follow up. (Even though he said he knew great surgeons there) This is a personal decision that you have to think about. What is best for you and your family. Talk to your husband tell him your concerns he will in the end be your biggest cheerleader!
  17. I know it could only get better from here. I just have a fear feeling that I am yet going to fail again! Thank you for the kind words! I know to hold my head high and keep on chuggin along!
  18. I had the same thing done on the 22nd. I finally just stop taking the pain meds I was tired of feeling like a zombie! The pain has gone away for the most part however I feel like I have a lump in my throat all the time! It still hurts to swallow some days if I get anxious about drinking.
  19. So I got on the scale today and a deep depression hit me! Whenever I would diet off and on for the last 10 years I would get the the current weight I am at today... (give or take a few pounds) and then the scale would stop. For weeks!!!! Then as usual I WOULD GIVE UP and have a damn cookie or a few or bag of chips! I am on week 3 of post op very struck diet... still pudding type soft foods... Just in a funk and had to tell someone that would understand.
  20. I looked in the Protein drink section and also searched on here web sites. Then looked them up and ordered them.
  21. I agree order samples! I did and I'm glad I did because there are some that I can't even see how people can stomach it...
  22. Of you vomit a lot talk to your Dr. it could lead to other problems. I was told Water goes right through the sleeve and it is fine to drink as much as you want. I can drink water like no tomorrow and tea. But that is it!
