Who lost weight NO Carbs and who lost weight with out cutting out a ton of carbs?
I did not cut carbs. I eat rice, bread, tortillas, etc. Today, for example, I had a half of sandwich for lunch and a fish taco for dinner. I've lost 93 pounds so far!

Is this a sign of overtraining?
Are you overheated or just nauseous? Do you eat anything before your workout? When I do too much usually my muscles just don't work to their full potential.

protein shakes..... how long?
I can't remember exactly but I think I ditched the shakes around 3 months post op.

heartburn after two years?
The doctor always tells me to eat five small meals a day to avoid heartburn. Is it worse on your fasting days? I take a PPI everyday and if I forget, I get really bad heartburn. I never had heartburn before surgery so I guess this is the new normal for me. I'm only 9 months out. Hope it gets better for all of us! Oh and it probably was the spaghetti sauce.

I know its a compliment but still
- Why maintenance is so hard...
Eeeek! Maintenance. Part two of the battle. I'm not there yet but it makes me nervous the closer I get.- At Last
Oh holy hell!!! Looking hot, mama!- September 12, 1913
You had it 100 years ago?! Bahaha! Good luck with your surgery!!!!- Sleevers by profession.
I'm a hairstylist but going to school to be a nurse!- Share your "slow loss" success!
I've lost 93 pounds in 9 months. I'm perfectly fine with that but I do get a little jealous of the MANY posts about people losing faster. Month 4 I lost 0 pounds and month 8 I lost 0 pounds. Other than those two months, the scale only goes down a week after my cycle. The rest of the month I don't lose. I don't stress or freak out. I view this journey like any other weight loss attempt except I'm not giving up this time and gaining the weight back. But I know even with the sleeve, my body still functions the same way it did before except now I have a smaller stomach. The surgery didn't speed my metabolism and cause me to lose super fast. I don't expect to lose everyday or every week and it's kept me sane. I'm working my sleeve but I'm not obsessing and over working it. I don't see anything wrong with being a slow loser as long as I am a loser- Redundancy
The redundancy topic is also a redundant topic. No disrespect, but I don't think anyone cares what topics annoy you.- Skinnytaste.com
A lot of them are high protein or easy to make them high protein. But no filter I don't think ..... the website is a blog someone made. It's definitely worth checking out.- Boob concerns!
I had no boobs before even after 2 kids and really don't have any now! I look fine in my padded bra and my husband loves my little boobies, so I guess I'll live with them!- Do light weights lose slower?
I think generally that's true but not in my case. A lot of lightweights lose faster than me. Even with working out, my metabolism is slower than average. I bought a bodymedia which is a sensor put on my arm that calculates how many calories I burn throughout the day. I burn about 300 calories less than what the online calculator says I should. I'm thankful for this little device so I can adjust my intake a accordingly.- GETTING MY SLEEVE BANDED...
Since most of your stomach was taken out, I would think the band would cause more problems than with a regular stomach! I'm no doctor but it seems like that would be a horrible idea! What if it causes scar tissue, slips, or erodes? If all other options have failed, I would look into th DS. I've never heard of the band over sleeve.- Skinnytaste.com
- Lucky charms for adults?
Mmmm cinnamon toast crunch! I used to fill my bowl to the very top and munch away! How horrible, right? I would think in this day in age all the high sugar, processed crap food would be struggling. It doesn't surprise me that they are trying all they can to make a dollar.- Second guessing
*to become a*- Second guessing
I was perfectly healthy at 296 pounds too. I did this for my mental health. Honestly, preventing future ailments due to obesity rarely crossed my mind. I think mental health is equally important. I hated how I looked. I couldn't see how my husband could find me attractive! He was/is very attracted to me and I was constantly turning down his advances because I was so disgusted with myself. All the failed diets put me further into self loathing. I was tired of eating until I was absolutely sick for hours after eating. I did this to beca well rounded happy individual. This surgery did that for me! I don't have one regret! It's changed my life completely! Good luck to you!- So, is anyone else due for their menstrual cycle while in the hospital? lol
I started the morning of surgery!- Gnc Irony
We have an independently own health food store. It's more expensive than even GNC or my local grocery store ! Sorry, I'm broke!- OMG,NOW I HAVE SEEN EVERYHING!
I think once that thing was removed, I'd eat everything in sight! I'd gain back everything I lost and then some in like 3 days! - Why maintenance is so hard...
