Hey guys,
Just wanted to share some pics, cuz we all love it when others share pics! . This is my first time sharing photos, aside from my avatar. I'm 9 months out of surgery as of yesterday, and initially, I was having my hubby take pictures every month. I kinda fell off over the summer, but finally remembered to have him snap a few this morning. I cried a little when I put the 'before' and 'after' side by side. I was self pay, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Rejoicing over here!! Woot!
p.s. not sure if I'm doing this right, so hopefully there are pictures here!
   

Surgery scheduled tomorrow at 7 am. I've been fine until now. As I sit I'm the airport I feel tears welling up...I'm a bit overwhelmed with emotion. I'm extremely proud and happy for taking this step yet nervous as hell abt surgery its self. This is a big deal...my life is getting ready to change for the better. Virtual hand hold hugs and prayers are needed

I should add I'm.two days in to a fifteen day preop all liquids and I'm ready to cry

I have been on liquids for 3 days now. Today I went to bed and said to everyone just wake me up
On nov. 13th ( surgery date) ! The worst part is making dinner for the husband and kids only to have to stare down another protien shake '-'

Sleeved at 278 lbs on 10/1. First post op pic at 244 on 11/1 . Second pic was at 291 in 8/12

I had a revision october 24th due to the band port leaking. I was banded december of 2004 and never reached my goal with it, wasn't able to get adjusted just right and then within the last couple months found that the port was leaking. My surgeon decided that because of the problems I had, instead of putting in another band, he would convert me to the sleeve. I am one week out and feel great. Hope you can get turned around.

Hey Everyone,
I am a 22 yr old college student and was sleeved on August 22nd. I am a little over 2 months post op right now. I am loving my sleeve!
I had a great recovery right from the start and am down 55 pounds right now. My starting weight was 231 and I am currently at 176. I can pretty much tolerate any kinds of foods - but just very, very small portions of food!
The first picture is me at my consultation appointment on July 19th and the other one is a wedding from the summer. The next one is from this past weekend at a bridal shower.
I have had stalls, but haven't freaked out about them. I lost 12 pounds my first week and then nothing for 3 more weeks. It kinda sucked but then it all started dropping!! I work out 4-5 times a week with friends - cardio, weights, circuits, etc. I just keep doing what I am supposed to knowing that it has to eventually come off! My doctor's goal for me is 130 which I can't even fathom. We will see!!!
I'm feeling way more confident and am so glad that getting dressed is no longer such a depressing activity. I have more energy and just feel happy.

Hello, my name is Tonika and I had my sleeve done September 26 2012. I originally had the lap band In 2003 and I was 374 pounds. I got down to 176 pounds nevertheless I started having problems with the band and I creeped back up to 288 pounds. I went In for a revision on my birthday January 26 2012, my liver and my stomach were merged together. The surgeon said he's good but not that good so once he freed the band and liver and stomach he aborted the revision. I woke up to disbelief he said I had too much scar tissue and would never be able to have any weight loss surgery again. I was depressed for 8 months till one day I said God please heal my insides I'm not meant to be heavy. I went online researched everyone told me no till West Lake Hospital came up I called and the rest is history. I went in on a Monday in August and three weeks later I had my surgery... Scar tissue completely healed. What a mighty God we serve, I was nervous the nigh before so I prayed and God whispered trust me your stomach is ok and I just believed and was ok after that.. FYI MY NURSES NAME WAS JESUS AND I HAVE A ROSARY BEAD TATTOO AND SHE PRAYED ON IT...

I haven’t even had the sugary yet and I have already noticed my husband being distant. At first he seemed to be real supportive but now that he sees this is really going to happen I have noticed changes. He doesn’t want to talk about it and seems to get annoyed if I even bring it up! He says we will talk about it closer to surgery date. The other night he had the nerve to say he sees me changing. I just don’t get it. I am so hurt that he would feel that after I lose the weight I will crave other men’s attention. I tried to tell him that has not even crossed my mind! I mean even being overweight I get male attention so wtf is he really saying?
I am trying to show him that I am doing this to get the healthy not just for me but him and our kids. Being overweight has changed me so much. I am often depressed and isolated. I don’t even want to get out of the house because I hate being overweight! I have tried and tried to lose weight and I always fail! Another man is the last damn reason I would be having surgery. If a man didn’t want me at my worst I sure don’t think he deserves me at my best.
He also has gained weight over the years and I really thing that he is not happy with himself either. He just tries to hide it. Our 7 year daughter told him last night he should have the surgery with me and he said he was going to lose weight on his on! Well good for him. I will support him either way. However the fact is don’t try to bring me down because you are miserable with yourself and try to put this on me..
And to top that off he keeps bringing JUNK in the house after I have told him not to. I am trying to lose as much weight as I can during my supervised diet. I know I don’t have to eat it but I’m also trying to not only get myself in better eating habits but our kids too. So why bring it in period!? Every time I go on diets I always used to joke that he tries to sabotage it but now I really believe that’s exactly what he is doing!
I have been in tears all day today because his whole altitude has changed. He is so damn moody. The fact is if our marriage does happen to fall apart after the surgery it won’t BE BECAUSE OF ME! It will be his own damn attitude and lack of support that will push me away.
Does anyone have any advice?

I was approved TODAY for the panni part of my tumny tuck! I went to my pcp 1 time for "rashes" that i never really had. My ps sent in the pics they took of me and the office report from my pcp and i was approved super fast. Fep Blue is really the best! GOOD LUCK!!!

The prayer.. Lord we love you and you're Our Father. We can and will do all things through Christ who gives us our strength. We declare that the decision we had made lines up with your will and that you continue to be the healer and helper that your are. Everyone under going surgery or have had surgery will have a steady recovery. We declare no leeks, dehydration, healthy mental attitude, and strength to endure. In Jesus name. Amen :-)

I love God and I love to pray! We all have made a life changing decision to improve our quality and quantity of life. It took a lot of faith to get to this point. Let's lift up each other daily in prayer. Unity in prayer causes miracles.

Research is showing that stalls happen because you are weighing yourself far too often.
Does it really matter if you get to onederland by your birthday or a few days later? I'd argue the destination more imprtant than the journey.

I just got off the phone. I am approved for surgery!! Praise God!! I debated calling all day to check and finally broke down and called. I thought all weekend I would regret not at least trying to find out. I got a lady who was checking but we got disconnected. Then she called me back and said I was approved yesterday and the letter went out!!!

I am proud to say they are my employer & glad to hear you got such great service! I am prejudiced but I love this company. They approved mine in a day.
