I Was Starving Today!
I ate like I had lost my mind today after I got home from work. I know it is pre menstrual, but still... I usually eat around 500 cals a day. Today it was more like 650. Little bits add up

Munchie Help Needed
Are you actually hungry? If not then it is head hunger and acknowledge it as such. I relate to stress at home and work. I am a senior director at work and I am also working on my doctorate. If I'm hungry, I eat a meal or snack. If not, I don't eat. I keep a quote from my doctor handy in my mind for times like that. "What happens if you get hungry?" ......"Nothing" Nothing happens. You are just hungry. It doesn't mean you have to eat, especially if you have just eaten recently. Munching during the day for stress or entertainment or to get just a taste of something begins a slippery slope that leads straight down hill. If you are stressed, find other ways to manage it instead of eating. Join group exercise, take a walk, have a bubble bath, drink hot tea, try yoga or meditation, get a massage, call a friend, write a letter, just don't get back into the habit of eating when you are not actually hungry, or eating at times that aren't designated as your meal times.

Frozen Yogurt?
Haha!! I guess that's safer. I think just about everyone here has many lessons to share. We do learn from mistakes! (hopefully)

Frozen Yogurt?
I had some yummy sugar free frozen yogurt from a local yogurt place around my 3rd week and I was so happy .............. until it occurred to me to really check the nutritional information. I was very disappointed that it had such little protein and so many carbs. Sure it tasted really good, but I'll be saving that treat until I am on maintenance.

Frozen Yogurt?
What is one serving and how many calories are in that serving? How many grams of protein and how many grams of carbohydrates? Is it fat free or sugar free or both?

Yummy Shakes?
"I" love the taste. You may want to get a sample pack first and try it before buying a container. When I read that a lot of people liked the Syntax nectar Fuzzy Navel I bought a huge jar and I can't stand the stuff. Everyone's tastes are different, but I think that the Cookies n Cream had a nice, creamy taste to it. Of course it is not a substitute for real cookies and cream ice cream or milkshake, but for 100 calories it is pretty dang close imo.

Yummy Shakes?
My favorites so far are Isopure Banana Cream and Syntax Nectar Cookies n Cream and Vanilla Torte. I mix both with water and really like them. I would imagine that if you used milk they would even be better.

Cheating? Already?!
I'm surprised you can already have yogurt and peanutbutter since they aren't full liquids.

Strech Stomach
This really disturbed me, so I started looking around. How easy is it to stretch out my new tummy? Not easy at all. No such thing has been documented on 5-year studies. http://www.endobariatric.com/faqs.htm YOU CANNOT STRETCH/DILATE out your sleeve to anything remotely close to its original size. From LapSF/Dr. Criangle: The removed section of the stomach is actually the portion that stretches the most. The long vertical tube shaped stomach that remains is the portion least likely to expand over time and it creates significant resistance to volumes of food. http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/carmelita/blog_page,2/ I would like to know of a study done on this with some actual, valid data. Anybody??

Cheating? Already?!
Exactly as twooley said. Everything is better and easier after the strictly liquid stage. I thought I would lose my mind. Fortunately it goes by quickly.

Cheating? Already?!
I have been right there too. Campbell's Green Pea soup helped a lot. It is high in protein and has a little bit of substance. Baby foods also helped. The puréed beans, sweet potatoes, carrots, turkey, apple with oatmeal, all added some variety. Just don't have any expectations of baby food as an adequate source of protein.

Cream O Wheat
At that stage I really enjoyed it plain. To actually taste the simplicity was a pleasure. The same with oatmeal. I don't even use artificial sweetener. I have been really working myself off of thinking of food as entertainment for my taste buds.

Normal Ever Come Back?
But I don't want my stomach to be normal again

Acid Reflux
I take a Prilosec every morning and a Protonix every evening. I spoke to my doctor about it and he said it was ok to take a PPI 2x daily. I guess some of our stomachs produce more acid. Also the stomach acid attacks may be related to your gallbladder. Rapid weight loss results in gall stones. You may be having gall bladder attacks.

Normal Ever Come Back?
I'm 8 weeks out this week and my stomach doesn't feel like my old one, which was my previous "normal." I'm VERY glad that my stomach has changed! It makes crazy noises sometimes, it can get cranky, it is not particularly fond of sugar, it doesn't like turnips or G2, it is gassy and acts like a diva. Hmmm.... I haven't named my sleeve yet and that seems appropriate. Diva Sleeva or Sleeve Diva ...will work on that.

Any Tips
2 meals a day doesn't sound good. You should be eating 3 meals and 1-2 Snacks to maintain relatively stable blood sugar levels. You are likely craving carbs because your blood sugar is so low more often than not.

Boobs & Such...
I just retired 2 bras. Not because of the cup size, but the band size. So far I've lost around 34 lbs. For some reason I have kept a few good bras from the past when my weight was down, so I don't have to shop quite yet. Now that I don't have such a huge stomach holding up the girls, I'm streetlighting too.

Thanksgiving Day Challenge
So I posted this last week pretty much knowing that there was probably no way that I could make it to my challenge goal. But my stall broke and I've lost 4 lbs since the comment above. That means that between today (Monday) and this Thursday, IF I drop 2 lbs I will make it! It IS possible! No, I won't be upset if I don't. I'm very grateful and appreciative of my progress so far. Setting these goals along the way do add some interest, though.

Losing Weight But I Don't See It.....

New Stomach Talking!
Mine makes crazy noises at odd times, and it is so loud! How can a much smaller stomach be so noisy?!?!?
