Does anyone have any suggestions on how to save and or preserve food? I've been using ziplock bags and tupperware in the freezer but the quality isn't great since too much air gets in. I've heard about vacuum sealers but they seem expensive and the bags are expensive. If you own one, would you suggest it? How has your experience been? Any recommendations?- Drinking Alcohol
How long were you advised to wait until you consumed alcohol? What happened when you drank for the first time?- Overwhelmed and Frustrated
I'm doing okay with water, unless I gulp by accident when i'm really thirsty. I'm still struggling with food and I think I've realized it's because i'm not chewing enough and my bites are too big. I'm just so impatient, I want to feel normal again already.- slidder foods
What are slider foods?- Overwhelmed and Frustrated
I'm a little over three Weeks out and i'm still having a hard time eating. It feels like the food is getting stuck in my throat and it's about to come back up. I also feel a lot of acid and bubbles in my stomach when my food finally goes down. I'm getting discouraged and overwhelmed, i'm starting to regret my decision to get sleeved. I just want to feel normal, eat normal, live a normal life. I know I won't regret this once I start seeing results and I feel healthier but i'm having a hard time staying positive until then. Does this lump in my throat get any easier? Has anyone else had this feeling and difficulty swallowing? How long did it take for you to start feeling normal without difficulty eating?- Two Days Post-Op
I agree with bunny. I hardly had any incision pain, only pain on the inside. I stopped the pain meds on day 4 or 5, can't remember. I did get a few bruises from the shots but nothing serious.- After Surgery?
I started walking a few hours after my surgery. It really helped with the gas and getting back to normal. I had a rough few days but I felt drastically different on Day Five. I quit all pain meds on Day Five. I went grocery shopping on Day Six (about 1 hour) and felt pretty tired afterwards. I went Christmas Shopping on Day Seven (about 3 hours) and felt okay. In my personal experience, I feel almost back to normal after just one week- Five Days Post Op & Starving!
I'm not eating solids. I'm on full liquids.- Five Days Post Op & Starving!
I feel a little discouraged about my sleeve since I have yet to feel ”full” or satisfied after a meal. As a matter of fact, I woke up from surgery STARVING! It's five days now and i'm eating 4 Oz per meal, like instructed. Every time I take a bite or drink of something, my stomach gets super bubbly and I get a hunger pain with each sip. I'm also still starving after I finish my meal. Is this normal? Does it get easier? Should I try to eat a little more or continue to starve?- Five Days Post Op & Starving!
