  1. Ask your Cordinator. If its it's a script (as most are there, now) your dr can probably ok a prescription you can fill before leaving.
  2. No doubt in my mind... YES! So happy. I am healthier and my life doesn't revolve around food. I eat like all my family and friends.. Just less. I party with everyone, I travel, skiing again, and I move like I was to live life for a good long time. My weight and food is no longer controlling me. I am in control
  3. Price was a factor, but after several months of research I didnt go the cheapest route. I'm very please.. And there are so many competent and excellent docs and just a few bad seeds, Just like in the states
  4. Nice to join the forum just to help out the hair losers .. Very compassionate!
  5. Obviously, doctors are not immune to being dumb
  6. Dr Garcia.. Or better yet, Dr Ponce ;D
  7. Trish said she's calling you... You'll love her! And yes, Dr Ponce is excellent
  8. Yes.. I transferred too. I specifically bought flights that I would be walking a lot. I've had 4 surgeries in MX and the one I had the most pain was the one I didn't get to walk with.
  9. I think it's from drinking armadillos..
  10. My advice? Ditch the wheel chairs. You're sitting on a long flight the last thing you should be doing is sitting more when you could be doing your necessary walking. Everyone is alway talking about their fear of blood clots or the pain from the gas.. Yet they don't do their best to walk it away. Seriously.
  11. LOL.. Yes, my kids tend to greet me with, "seriously, Mom? And I know what's coming next
  12. Yep.. I'm sitting here in my baggy jeans and hoody that is way to big for me. It will take me a long time before I'm comfy with myself.. If ever :/
  13. That's greats.. Congrats! I can see your happiness by the way you're standing on your head
  14. I'm not quite sure why you, as a teacher don't get paid during the summer, but I totally understand where you're coming from. When I first joined the forum and saw what most people have to go through to get approved, I asked the same question. Where do you all get the time off to do all the required pr-op crap? No way, I could do it. I am a retired jr/sr high school teacher and now I contract out to Microsoft/Google/Amazon and there's no way I could have taken so much time off and expected to keep my peeps. It's crazy!
  15. Whoa.. Someone needs to shake like a wet dog and get rid of the pessimism! I'm sorry you are feeling so depressed and hope you can obtain the help you need.. Either from a support group or here. Your mind set is all wrong We all went into this journey with the goal of weight loss for a healthier self. Not knowing how far post-op you are it's tough. I really hope things get better for you.
  16. Someone say ... Cheeeeez burger? LOL.. Anyway, I'm almost 4 months out and can't (and don't want to) eat any part of a bun. I did eat a McPatty with cheese a couple months out, but 3 weeks out... NOT SMART!
  17. Sheesh.. Some people think I'm a monster because I laughed at your prank. LOL... I had no clue some would fall for this even after I LOL'd You're bad!
  18. This reminds me of what someone told me when I had my band removed. They said if you just keep your portion to the size of a coffee mug you should be fine. I looked at him and laughed.. You realize how much I could manage to stuff in a mug? I would stuff, press, stuff etc.. It's amazing the things we do Ok sorry.. This just made me think of that
  19. Get your ass back in here big guy! Stick around and maybe you'll get an answer or two. Sometimes it happens
  20. Lovely... Just lovely! No.. SHE WAS BEING INSENSITIVE... Her! Sounds like envy to me. She has no clue how much work you're going to have to put in to this journey. I am sorry that she reacted this way.. Shame on her! She knew exactly what she was saying
