Alcohol?
You will be able to drink again. But most of us want to get to our goal weight before we introduce the "treats in moderation" back into our diets. As said, there's going to be a vast amount of answers to this question

LUNCH IDEAS? 2.5 WKS POST OP
I couldn't figure out dunkin donuts potatoes.. As in did the donut chain add potatoes to their menu? WTH.. I just looked it up! I'm flabbergasted! They do have potatoes.. I'm speechless! Ok, speechless is not me, going anywhere near donuts is not a good idea. Holy crap.. Potatoes at a donut shop! I seriously thought you just missed a comma in between the donut and potatoes *sighs and shakes head*

Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
Ok, well, for him.. I can't even feel sorry for his sorry ass.. What a sad situation. I do feel for the patient, but the blame should NOT be put on wls. The blame is on the spouse

Has anyone had any complications with Dr Garcia doing the sleeve?
Search Dr Garcia and you will find plenty to calm your nerves. As with most of the MX docs.. You can find many recommendations just by searching in the search bar on the forum. Good luck!

Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
Of course, all our spouses were/are concerned for our well being in regards to the initial surgeries.. ABSOLUTELY! As it should be. My husband didn't want me to go through wls. He was scared...it's normal! I am over the surgery so why should he or any spouse be upset about what you went though to get where you are? It's history. I just can't imagine.. In my wildest thoughts, can't understand a spouse not being supportive. If, for whatever the reason he/she claims.. I call BS and I feel sorry their pathetic selfish asses and their marriage is in trouble with or without wls IMO

Bizarre trend?
There comes a time in your life, for your life, that you have to become aware that being healthy is more important than your psychological need for food.

To tell or not to tell
LOL.. This subject comes up every couple weeks. Fact is.. Everyone is different... PERIOD! Like Laura stated... You should not do this journey without support of someone close to you (and us, of course). Obviously, I told my husband and my adult kids, my family I tutor and oddly their relatives, but only because I spend so much time with them.

If you do want to tell, do. If you don't want to tell don't. It's totally up to you... It's your life!

Final cost: $54,855.30
Can any one say American greed? I find it despicable and unacceptable that healthcare gets away with this robbery

Bizarre trend?
Exactly! I send my labs down there and all post-op work and stats. I have 24/7 open communication with them.

Bizarre trend?
And like I asked.. So, without wls your marriage would be hunky dorey? I don't get it!

Bizarre trend?
Nope, nope.. Nope.. You check it out and it isn't the MX sleevers that regret it. Just because we don't have to jump through the loop holes like you guys doesn't mean we don't go through a lot. I don't think there are many MX sleevers who don't thoroughly research this and have good support/PCP post-op. we, after all are making a bigger step than most. We don't go in blind or naive. That would be stupid if not possibly deadly

Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
Oh, I know all too well. I had to do a lot of work before I was able to reset myself for success on this journey. And I'm always reluctant to suggest what you have because the responses are the "no, not me. I'm not addicted, etc" I'm not innocent by any means when it comes to being guilty on the dying before admiting I was in trouble. 5 lapband wls.. A bit extreme. I was dying to not be obese. This time, with help.. My main focus is health and I've never been happier

Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
I really feel for you and I'm so sorry you regret having wls. I sincerely feel for you. You're right, someone has to be the 1% the stats report. Unfotunate for you though. I'm just wondering, without wls, how long do you think you would be able to continue on your morbidly obese journey? That is the frightening thing I read into what you wrote. You (as well, as most of us) love food, abuse food and are dangerously overweight.. How long would we live if we kept it up? Probably not long. It would be a unhappy, unhealthy slow death, if not quick for some. I'm glad you had it done, because whether you like it or not, it probably saved your life. Even if they don't know, I bet that makes your loved ones happy.. If not, yourself

Gastric Sleeve Surgery Date Set.....low Bmi
I am my biggest critic. No one, but myself told me how fat and gross I am/was. Luckily,my high school friend is a therapist and weight struggler just like me. My attitude towards self image and acceptance has greatly improved. We can only do this for ourselves and no one else. Whether we are combating or preventing health issues, it's for us
