  1. Thank God.. You are very fortunate! A sure sign of more good things to come
  2. What stage does your dr have you on? If its an approved food on your particular stage then, yes. If not.. Then, no
  3. Okay, so don't learn to use the VSG just band it and control it that way? If that doesn't work I guess wire the jaw shut shold pretty much nip in the bud and no weight gain a all. This is getting out of hand.
  4. OMGosh Laura .. I wouldn't go out side if theyre thunder clouds around. You no doubt will be struck by lightening for that evil comment
  5. No way. This "ring" is just another word for band and there's no way I'd go near that EVER. I wish you luck and success with yours.
  6. I'm over the hill happy.. Oh, wait that's my age. On a scale of 1-10.. I am at least a 9. I'm healthier and that alone makes me the happiest I've ever been. They fact that I'm getting thinner is just the icing on the cake.
  7. Great.. And it's just beginning!
  8. I gave birth to 3 ten pound babies.. Plus a gazillion other surgeries over the years.. There was only one option in my mind... Husband + snip snip = 0 new babies
  9. Regardless of where you have surgery you will need to be in hospital for a couple days. I would not go to a outpatient only surgeon
  10. I thought that with ,y first surgery down there many years ago, but I was so impressed I went back many times. It's hard to explain the difference, but the care and professionalism is so outstanding it's worth the trip.
  11. That's what I came on this post to say. .. (Well, except the Lil typo/spell check error)
  12. It's not cheap because of quality it's cheap because of the difference in cost of living compared to here. Most people in MX can not afford this surgery in there country because it's comparable to their cost of living. Just like here.. Most can't afford it because it's comparable to the cost of living here. EXPENSIVE. Also, it will make you feel better to know that the MX surgeon have a vast more amount of experience with bariatric surgery than the surgeons here in the states. My daughter has insurance coverage here, but prefers to have hers done with Dr Ponce because of his experience, professionalism, and great mannerism. My other daughter is also going down there because we have full confidence in his abilities.
  13. Yikes! Did your dr not inform you of the possibility of complications and the seriousness of the surgery? Also, throwing up is not a normal issue with the sleeve. Unless it was because of your complications it's usually self inflicted from your eating style. Hopefully, you're all better and over this difficult time of your journey. God bless and good luck.
  14. Yep.. children can be brutal reality checkers at times. God bless them of course, but it still hurts. OP... This is just NSV #1 with many to come! Yippee!
  15. Ive lost 45 lbs and no one has said anything to me. I think it's because they're used to me yoyoin' all the time
  16. Had mine 12 years ago and with very little pain. After a few years the scaring is hardly noticeable. Although, I didn't care if it was or not.. I was just glad I got it done and had boobies of a 20year old. Love 'em to this day ENJOY!
  17. Put a 1/2 cup cooked pasta in some water for an hour and see what it does.. Same will happen in your stomach.
  18. Sounds like fun and good times! It's a good feeling, huh?
  19. Use there's. You're drain will may leak a tiny bit and get on your gown and bring jammie pants though .. Makes walking the halls more comfy
  20. Huge difference.. Congrats! Thanks for sharing!
  21. All MX surgeon use drain tubes to measure the amount of drainage. Then they use it during the leak test. Then remove it if all clear. It's a safety precaution
  22. I drink smart water w/flavor drops.. Well, squirts in my case. I don't like water so it's got to have flavor but its always smart water
  23. Like Laura said.. Get your new PCP to refer you to a specialist
  24. Nice job and yes, I love the do, too!
