  1. I had my surgery on May 14th. The surgery went well. Unfortunately while in recovery I suffered a heart attack. Hospital did not know this as my enzyme test pre surgery looked good. They didn't get the post surgery lab test until May 16th. In the meantime they sent me home. Thursday morning I was awakened by my Dr standing by my bed telling me to go to the ER ASAP. After getting to the hospital I was re-admitted and was back in surgery in less than an hour. 2 of my arteries were blocked. 1 was 100% and the other was 60%. So I got 2 stints put in. I'm home now and feeling better. I feel lucky this was discovered when it was, otherwise I may have been in the middle of no-where. Make sure your doctors check your heart health and your enzyme levels are good. I love being sleeved and am looking forward to my journey.

  5. I'm finally here. Surgery scheduled for 8:30. I hope it all goes well, cause I've got my snow skis on and at the top of the mountain fixing to let go. See you on the sleeved side.

  9. Good luck to you as well.
  10. Good luck to you. You should be in surgery now and I'm praying for you that everything is great. I pack my bags tomorrow for a Tuesday morning lift off.
  11. Thank you and I wish the best of luck as well.
  12. I'm finally getting down to the final stretch now. My surgery is for this Tuesday morning at 9. I have been on an emotional roller coaster. Last night I was feeling scared, today I'm excited and feel anxious. I'm surprised at how well I have been able to adjust to the pre-operative liquid diet because I was definitely a food-a-holic, and I mean a real food junky!! But thanks to all the help from the support groups I attended and all the staff at the dr's office I have been able to start my mental transformation. I'm really hoping I can stay focused once I'm out of surgery and all the realities come to light. Things can be so different after the recovery. I'm very happy to have found this app and I have found a lot of great information and a lot of inspiration. So, thank you all for your post. Wish me luck... )
