  1. Oh.. So a stricture is different from a sleeve that is too tight?
  2. This sounds like a stricture issue not the sleeve being too tight. I think there's a difference.
  3. My Cordinator, Trish works with a great one, but I want to hear of others also.
  4. This probably the best thing I've read on the forum yet. CONGRATS! Good for you and cheers to the new you!
  5. You don't need a surgeon for after care you need a PCP. You only need a bariatric surgeon for complications and your PCP will refer you.
  6. Umm.. OC can be a lot scarier than TJ. Every city has its bad place. You do enough research and you will be going to TJ for surgery. They have vast more experience than any surgeon in the states and for a fraction of the price. They don't have to charge a lot because it doesn't cost a lot. It costs a lot in the states because it's out of control. It disgusts me what most US surgeons are doing to our medical system here.
  7. It's Miss Laura having another one of her "spells" is all!
  8. Just remember the consistency needs to meet the food stage you're in. You need to stay away from small chucks until you're cleared for that. Like some one said above.. Puréed if that's what you're in
  9. I would go to MX even if I was covered by insurance in the states. But.. That's another story aside from the OP
  10. Yep.. Attitude makes a huge difference and remember to get up and walk as soon as possible. You'll love Dr Rod. I loved TJ and hotel, also Keep us posted on you and your friend. There are many here interested in plastics as well.
  11. Medical costs in the states is in total disarray.
  12. Yep.. To each his own
  13. Great.. You made me choke on my double cheese burger I picked up on the way home from my WLS
  14. If you're asking me.. I can't. Nothing has been said to explain anything. A few words were said and everyone took it in different directions. Jeeze Louise.. Y'all calm the hell down and let Alex bring it all to light when he's ready. It's his site and he can do as he dang well pleases. Granted, it would behoove him to listen to our comments/suggestion/opinion regarding the changes, but he doesn't have to. I say, he'll listen to us a lot more if we are a lot less aggressive and hear him out.
  15. Not all pc/iPads can block the ads and even those who can don't want to because it messes with other options they prefer to keep. I block ads on my desk top but not on my laptop or iPad for various reasons
  16. What do you mean you can't private MSG?
  17. Not sure why people are freaking out. I think Alex thinks up these things just to get some slug blood flowin' (and then sits back and has a good laugh)
  18. Yeah same here.. Nobody has to pay me to ignore crap I don't want to see. But to each his own
  19. Maybe you misunderstood. My impression was if you don't pay you get the same site as it is now and if you want to pay to be a premium member you won't be exposed to all the annoying ads. Let's not jump on the bandwagon until its explained to us.. Or in other words.. Let's not stir up $ H I T where there ain't any.
  20. Yes I admit my recovery was unusual and even the dr and staff kept questioning me, but I guess I was fortunate.. Not wonder woman I'm very pig headed and wasn't going to waste a sunny vacation in MX/Southern Cali.
  21. Isn't it great? Gotta love the sleeve.. Best thing ever!
  22. A good week of recovery should o you good and oing o her wedding should work out fine. ENJOY!
  23. Everyone is different, but I was out and about doing normal things when I left the hospital. I was on vacation and nothing bothered me.
  24. My heart breaks for those parents and the many others who are suffering. God bless and comfort them.. It's going to be a sad heart wrenching road for them
