  1. Are you a citizen of Columbia like you husband?
  2. I'm kind of that way, but different. I was so focused on my goal weight that I just didn't realize that I was thinner yet. I never changed out of my habit of hoodies and baggy jeans. I was pleasantly surprised when I had to borrow a pair of jeans from my boss, (spilled wine incident), and they fit! She wears size 8. When I realized I could look at her and see she was thin.. Then I must be, too!
  3. Ramirelek, put this post in "vertical sleeve talk lounge" and give it a title and that way you will get more responses. My first question is what country is it that your husband wants it take your daughter to.. Without any of your family along too?
  4. Ok, I just can't get past this.. Purée tuna? That's just disgusting! Why not just eat canned kitty food?
  5. Miracle Whip, tuna and sweet relish... YUM!
  6. Down Molly.. Down
  7. You get reimbursed for put of country surgery? I have a feeling that when you said a detailed receipt .. This was not communicated as an itemized receipt. I believe theres a difference. This is not the fault of anyone except perhaps miscommunication at what the receipt was to entail. I've had several surgeries in MX and I've never been given a itemized receipt. Here in the states, the IRS takes the pmt received receipt. Hopefully, you can talk to others who have been reimbursed and see how things were handled.
  8. YES.. It's worth it! But I must admit this is yet another reason why I went to MX. There's NO way I had time to take for all these ridiculous appts. I mean I had personal days I could take, but I have work and deadlines etc. I admire y'all for getting all the appts in. Good luck and again.. YES .. It's worth it
  9. Wow.. That's awful and this is the second poster today with this happening to. Did it state why you're not approve vs when they did approve you? Omg.. I would be soooooo pissed! Fight for the approval and don't back down. They want you to back down... They can't make money if they approve ever surgery that is submitted even if you're entitled to it. They depend on people not fighting
  10. Lol.. I used dip my popcorn in melted butter.. Like a chip n dip. Good lord!
  11. You're amazing and such a wonderful story. The sleeve has saved many of us and has change our lives for so much the better. Love the sleeve!
  12. No protein drinks at our table... Just soda pop
  13. Not until a few mbths out and then it was only after I ate. I finally stated zegrid and no problem anymore
  14. I was thinking the same thing. I don't need the chewables ... I tend to treat them like candy, anyway. Time to take big peoples stuff now.
  15. We do have insurance. Well, .. I don't quite understand the whole AHCA. If someone can't afford to buy insurance now, how can they buy insurance when AHCA starts? Are the companies going to raise our rates to cover the discount rates for those who cant afford it? WAIT.. WAIT.. Nevermind. I'm probably opening a political can of ugly I agree.. Total trainwreck is coming
  16. I can't go out and get my own insurance, if I wanted?
  17. Hey.. I like your weight
  18. I've had several surgeries in MX, my oldest daughter has been once for lapband and having revision in MX this fall. My other daughter had lapband in MX and she has insurance that covers revision here in the states, but she prefers to go with our surgeon in MX because of experience and stats. I researched surgeons here in my area and they didn't meet my criteria or expectations like most MX surgeons do
  19. I'm almost 6 months out and it's slowing for me. I suck at getting protein and I take Biotin and that gives me great nails, but didn't help with hair loss. Try to ride it out. I've never seen anyone post that they went bald.
  20. It's far from Medicare and welfare. If you don't have insurance coverage now you will be required to purchase it. If you don't you will be fined. Depending on what you can afford will dictate what they cover. AHCA will most likely cover well care, medical necessity and emergencies. Nothing is free or cheap when it comes to insurance
