Tums post op

I have had a miserable belly for two days. Has anyone tried tums post op?

Not until a few mbths out and then it was only after I ate. I finally stated zegrid and no problem anymore

I've had Tums with no problem. Maybe you need something like Pepcid instead. I was given liquid form for 30 days after surgery. I haven't had to rely on the Tums as much. You're probably experiencing indigestion, rather than a tummy ache. Good luck!

Unfortunately 3 weeks post my surgery....my GERD came back worse than ever.. I went to the Pharmacist who discouraged tums, because it causes rebound reflux. So not sure if your pain is reflux, but both my surgeon and Pharmacist suggested against tums. I doubled my Prilosec and take Zantac twice a day now. It's better but I am still having issues at 7 weeks out.
