  2. The table is round.. We're all leaders
  3. It's disposed of as bio hazard material. Although some of us receieved pictures of our stomachs.. Not something I will be putting in my family photo album, though
  4. Interesting... Surgical Mesh Surgical mesh is a medical device that is used to provide additional support to weakened or damaged tissue. The majority of surgical mesh devices currently available for use are constructed from synthetic materials or animal tissue Animal-derived mesh are made of animal tissue, such as intestine or skin, that has been processed and disinfected to be suitable for use as an implanted device. These animal-derived mesh are absorbable. The majority of tissue used to produce these mesh implants are from a pig (porcine) or cow (bovine) source. I just learn this from my friend Mr Google
  5. Anything that doesn't make you full on a few ounces
  6. I'm not defending anyone. I got the the same general type of receipt from all my surgeons down there. Sorry you had a difficult time obtaining the type you needed. And it's awesome you guys get a partial reimbursement. That would be nice.
  7. Oh and if you really want to see more horror stories regarding the band go to lapband talk and search complications. There are hundreds and hundreds of posts and threads. And welcome to the forum
  8. Yes. Read my story on my profile page. As for the eating with the band? You can eat everything that isn't healthy and can't eat the healthy stuff.
  9. Trust me.. I didn't fair so well on my last surgery! When I showed my daughter my bruises from the VSG... She got the biggest smile, lol. Sweet child I have, huh
  10. LOL... My daughter and I had lapband surgery at the same time and I hardly bruised and she looked like she went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. Everyone is different
  11. I knew my dr did because I watched a few personal videos .. But at the same time, all the others videos I watched they stitched too. I just assumed all did.
  12. Normal. Ugh.. I had a 7 week stall.. But it gets better
  13. Absolutely! It shows in my video he gave me then a leak test is performed before closure and then again after 48 hours. Surgeons don't want leaks any more than the patient
  14. Your body is adjusting to SO MUCH! Surgery and calorie reduction is putting your system into overdrive and it's thinking it has to save you. So it ain't gonna give it away too easily. Be patient and start getting used to the new healthy lifestyle and eventually the weight will go down.
  15. If your talking about right after surgery it depends on how the anesthesia was administered and how it effects you. I woke up as if it was any other morning to me. I was up and going without a problem, but some have a difficult time getting out of the induced sleep they anesthesiologist put them in. Never know
  16. No pain, just feels weird. Like a little tube being pulled out of your side. seriously.. Kind of like as if they were sliding a string out of you. Piece of cake! Promise
  17. Congrats.. That's exciting! Lol.. Me too! In jeans .. I have size 16 to size 16 in little girls! I'll give the little 16 away because tht one wasn't healthy. Sheesh... No wonder I never have room in my closet
  18. I'm done with diets. I swore off diets.. out of my life for good and I'm officially a member of dieters anonymous. My body has suffered enough abuse over the years. It's eat healthy w/excercise all the way or it just wasn't meant to be. Lol.. Ok, sorry, carrying on ( I just hate the word diet)
  19. I remember there have been others here that have mentioned this. Maybe search and some answer wil come up. I'm sorry you've run into a delay. I know it's frustrating. Good luck
  20. You mean because of Gastroparesis or slow digestive problems?
  21. Outta control?... nah, that never happens around here!
  22. Well.. I don't have any answers and I'm not sure others will see this post because its not in the right place to be noticed. Good luck
