  1. It always puts us on cloud 9 when someone we love compliments us. Congratulations
  2. It has been years and I think I run from any place that might have a camera.
  3. I realize as I go through the process, I have no pictures. Every time I see a picture of myself I delete it. Does anyone else suffer from this?
  4. Fantastic! Keep up the great work!
  5. So, were you sleeved in Tucson? I was trying to see of VA would cover it and it seemed like it was taking forever. I miss the people of Sierra Vista....so warm and friendly.
  6. We relocated there from Washington DC. Both of us were prior service. It was nice initially from the hustle and bustle of DC but got a divorce and realized my <3 for the city. Sierra Vista is a beautifully diverse city though.
  7. Hello all. I am in Phoenix. In the process of insurance approval. I lived in Sierra Vista for 2 years and decided that it wasn't for me. I got out of the military and wanted to live in a neutral place, Phoenix.
  8. We all say things at certain times that we regret but it's part of learning. If it is how you are feeling at that time, so be it. Just remember, you do need a support system for any major event.
  9. Maybe the people who create averages need to realize that the average person is not 5'10" and taller and weigh 140#.
  10. Buffy=ugh, my birth given name. The fat slayer because everyone always calls me Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
  11. I really hope I don't lose anything from my hind part. I have nothing to spare back there. I always say God was working on my front and got distracted when it came to my back parts.
  12. I don't think it was a long post. I think it hit the nail on the head.
  13. Congratulations! Did you eat more than normal?
  14. How did you know you had a leak? Did it do any serious internal damage?
  15. Sara, I am so proud of you and I don't even know you. To have such courage is a blessing. I am in a similar situation with my boyfriend. I don't want to be alone, but he is so negative and doesn't want me to lose weight. Like you, I have taken a back seat and put everyone ahead of me. No more! He tries to find ways to discourage me from having surgery. He is overweight himself and I think he fears that once I lose the weight, I am gone. Like your husband, he is home all day, but not because he is disabled but because he is lazy and has worked a part time job for 6 years with the airline. I am the bread winner and his only contribution buys groceries and pays one or two bills, which I do need help with. I know I deserve so much more but I haven't gotten there yet. This surgery is my first step in deserving better for myself. Thanks for the inspiration.
  16. The only reason I chose Dr. Fang was because a co-worker recommended him. The staff hasn't given me too many problems yet.
  17. @blondie1007, you have given me hope. I have had thyroid disease for 9 years. I thought this would be my demise of not losing weight. Congratulations on 100lbs.
