    Cant stop eating!

I'm at the 2 year mark and I'm now struggling with my choices. I still have good restriction but I have been making poor choices. Luckily I'm only up 3 pounds. Yesterday I got on my treadclimber and today have planned my meals. I feel great about doing those 2 little things and am confident I can do this. You can do it too. Pick one thing and re-master that...you can get back on track
  2. I agree...a second opinion would probably be a great option at this time. I also agree with the other posters that it's possible that the sleeve will be enough to not need a second surgery.
  3. I have ate WAY too many cookies. Also had a small sliver of butternut squash pie (like pumpkin pie). I stated at 206 and am 145 today. I didn't gain any during the holiday so I must have not done too terrible. I would have liked to have lost but that's ok I'm back in track now. I don't drink much at all anymore. I've had probably 4 drinks in the nine months I've been sleeved.

    Im a sugarholic

Oh wow acampbell1318, I'm a type 1 too. I have found that I had no cravings for sugar and junk until around 6 months post op. For me it's much easier to consume than protein. I feel much better when I stick to the plan and have high protein low carb. I did this surgery to get better control of my diabetes. My a1c was 8.8 pre op and last test was 7.7. I'm trying to get below 7. I'm heading in the right direction but it's taking me a lot longer than I expected because of my carb struggles. There is another type 1 that I know of on these boards who has had great success. I will too, just got to make the right choices.

Work is where I have the hardest time too. I'm 9 months post op and I realize my weight loss is expected to slow but I've only lost about 2 pounds in the last 2 months or so. I have about 15 pounds to go. The sugar/carb cravings is what is holding me back from reaching my goal. But I've recognized my issue and have started my pre-op diet today to detox. It worked before surgery so I'm hopeful I can get those cravings back in check and get the scale moving down again.

I think sugar is my problem too. Christmas cookies have been my latest addiction. I would suggest to you what I am starting today. I'm going back to the basics. I'm going back to my pre op diet to detox from carbs. I don't plan to do the liquids unless I still feel the cravings for sugar and carbs after 1 week. If I do, I'll do the second phase of my pre op diet of low carb liquids.
  7. I'm 8 months post op. Curious how many grams of protein your NUT says you should have? Also, what daily calorie goal do you have and how many carbs do you try to stay below?
  8. It ain't so! I eat it all the time. I'm almost 8 months post op. You have to watch it though...it's easy to overeat it.
  9. My saving grace was refried beans with mozzarella cheese.
  10. I had my first experience after 4 months yesterday. Ate chicken breast too fast. It was way different than a sick feeling. It was horrible pain, weird cold saliva, and then it came up... But just enough until my sleeve was comfy. I'm thinking this is what some people call "sliming".
  11. And I don't know why I want it. Although I'm still eating in the same calorie range. Seems like all of a sudden (last 2weeks) I've been having crazy cravings for chips and Cookies. I'm three months post op and have lost 40 lbs. before I would eat my meal feel grossly full after a half cup. Now, I fell grossly full and then 20 min later I feel hungry all over again. Not sure what's going on but I don't like it :-/ I'm thinking maybe I'm not getting enough calories. I'm trying to eat 800 a day but only getting usually about 600. How many calories should I be getting in at 3 months post op? And do you track your carbs? I try to stay under 45 a day.
  12. Surgery date 3-8. Down 34 lbs.
