  1. I am at about 10 months out and although I have NOT gained any weight, I am getting a little too comfortable with my eating habits again... I'm with you all, I need to get serious again.

How Soon Can I Resume My Pre-Sleeve Eating Lifestyle?!?!

I so agree !!! and also shake my head when reading things like this... I admit.. being almost 6 months out and 70 lbs down... I can eat pretty much anything... but I choose to eat what I eat and WILL NOT go back to where I came from. So I try and make good choices, I exercise and I thank myself for making this choice and going through it to give myself another chance at being healthy and happy.
  6. Hopefully your doctor gave you a reccomendation on how long to wait after surgery to exercise... I was told to walk, walk, walk... but as far as lifting weights, I had to wait at least 30 days to lift 20 lbs. So I began my exercise regime of cardo walking right away... as I felt up to it.. then about 1 1/2 - 2 months later started working out with a personal trainer 3x a week.

    Any Wisconsin Sleevers?

I'm doing great... was sleeved on 10/30 and as of today down 63.8 pounds! I only weigh in on Saturdays and have not seen a stall yet. Knock on wood! I've got about 40+ pounds to go to reach goal!!! So excited!

50 pound loss at 9 weeks yay

    Whoo hoo... you go girl!
  10. Head hunger was the most emotional thing for me to deal with... and because you can only take a couple of bites of things... I struggled with wanting to eat more or finishing something, I wasn' t hungry, it was just the fact of mind over matter I suppose. But I'm about 4 months out now and can eat pretty much whatever I want... however I choose what goes in my mouth and make good decisions. I too am the cook in the family... and that part is actually not bad at all. I kind of enjoy cooking more now than before and don't really have the urge to indulge... I just take my little portion of whatever I made and it's all good. Just take one day at a time...

    Personal Trainer

I also LOVE my personal trainer!!! She is the best thing to happen to me. She is encouraging, pushes me when I need it and above all... BELIEVES in me! When all this fat comes off, I want the beautiful toned muscle look to shine through... I'm only 4 months out, and have about 50 more lbs to go to hit goal... but when that time comes I don't want the saggy skin.. I want the toned and defined look.

    congrats!!!!
  13. Love this thread!!! I too have felt as if I am a slow loser... My surgery date was 10/30/12 and I've lost 47 pounds. I've been seeing a very consistent weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week... sometimes I get a 2.5 or 3 lbs loss, but I would have to say 1-2 lbs is a very common weight loss for me. I have NOT had a stall yet... KNOCK ON WOOD... I can eat mostly whatever just at a very restricted amount. I do NOT get all the Protein and Water in that I should... but I try. Thank you for posting such an encouraging post. I know I'm in this for the long haul and would rather lose slowly but surely. I do not regret my decision at all to have this surgery and I look forward to what the future holds for me.
  14. Good luck to you!!! I too am going to start this program soon!!
