  1. They sell these at walmart in the jewelry section too
  2. I'm hoping that my gyn and surgeon can find something that'll work for everyone, cause I think bleeding to death is a bigger possibility than blood clots!
  3. I was so mad that he died! They can kill Derek, I was all about McSteamy!
  4. My doctors packet says I'm not allowed to take the pill 30 days before and after surgery. I take the lo seasonique and skip the sugar pills due to severe hyperplasia issues. Before I started the pill last year I had my period for 86 days and ended up needing a blood transfusion so it's kind of important that I have something in my system. I see the ob next week, and I have an appointment with my surgeon the same day to discuss options but i was wondering if anyone was allowed to have the Nuvaring in during surgery? That seems like it might be a good option for the short 60 days. Thanks in advance
  5. Congrats on your weight loss! Wow that's amazing!
  6. I think it would definitely be worth it to buy some patches or the pill, because if you have to buy them on the boat it'll cost you an arm and a leg!
  7. I think it's still not too late to ween yourself off. You don't want to be miserable, the headaches for me were just horrible. I drank a cup of tea with no sugar (skim milk sometimes) , that was usually enough to stop it. Then after a week, every other cup I drank was decaf tea, and it tricked my mind into thinking I was getting my caffeine fix, then i just cut out the regular tea all together. I cut caffeine out in 3 weeks, but you can try and speed that up a little
  8. I'm trying to keep it from stressing me out. I know this time next year, my skinny self won't even remember that I had to wait. I was hoping to have a 2012 date though! I hate odd numbers
  9. Back story: In January I started seeing a surgeon about getting VSG. They ran my insurance and said that I needed 4 dietitian appointments over 6 months, a sleep study and a psych eval. At the end of June my insurance dropped everyone from their plan, and my hospital doesn't accept self-pay patients so at the end of all that stuff, I had to stop. I got a new job with really good insurance, and while I was waiting for it to kick in, I made an appointment with another surgeon, Dr. Hoehn and KC bariatrics. (My first doctor is considered out of network to Aetna, so I can't just stick with the first doctor)I saw him for the first time today, and I was hoping all of my stuff would transfer over from the other doctor and I could expedite this whole process. Unfortunately, since its been more than 3 months since my last nutrition appointment, I have to start all over again with the dietitian! This insurance only requires 3 months, but still. I'm so frustrated!
  10. I am 5'5, weight about 15lbs less than you and my doctor encouraged me to get the sleeve over bypass. I don't know why the doctor would try to sell you a surgery that you aren't expecting to get, days before your surgery too. Sounds fishy
  11. Well you didn't get denied straight away like I did with my last insurance. I had a negative answer in a day. Maybe that's not a bad sign that they are taking so long?
  12. [ have aetna also, and I hope I don't get screwed over like you
  13. I used to live in North Dakota, so I would have lost my legs probably! Here in Missouri, I might be able to pull it off
  14. I hate shoes! If I could wear flip flops all year I would! I'm seeing my doctor on Wednesday and hoping for an October date. I'm glad it's happening after the summer, my friend had hers in July and was miserable! I definitely prefer cooler weather. Plus, when spring comes around we'll all look sexy enough to wear those cute sun dresses!
  15. I want to shop at Victoria's secret I want to buy a little sexy black dress and wear it everywhere I want to go zip lining, and sky diving I want to go to an amusement park. I've never been on a real roller coaster because I've always been too big And most important, I want to be a mom
  16. So the protein shots or drinks can't say collagen, gelatin or casein?
