rosehips got a reaction from joatsaint in NSV #2 - You Best Step Off, B-hatch!
I had been a 4000-6000 step person with the occasional 11000 day. Yep 11k and I would hurt the next day. Over the last month I am totaling out at 7500 most days and I am feeling great. I have a big time spring in my step. My chiropractor actually adjusts the bones in the bottom of my feet & my ankles. Really helps me

Those of us who are fast losers post our success for several reasons, including:
    * Disbelief of our own good fortune - helps to say it and write it
    * Sincere desire to encourage others
I had no expectations that the "journey" would be so quick and easy for me. At a lower than usual BMI of 40, I expected it to actually go slower than for others. I do have a very fast metabolism, which causes shame rather than joy, because it means I had to work hard to get that big. And I did not do anything special, like work out (at all), or live on Unjury ( I can eat more than most and do!) to lose so rapidly. It just happened.
We are in total disbelief of our good fortune and we just need to share it, not for praise and recognition, but to show others that it doesn't have to be an uphill battle for every one of us.
So please tolerate us sharing our joy and success!! We share in yours, regardless of the pace!

The disgust on portions will get even greater after surgery. I seriously ask my husband "would you like a whole or half sandwich?"...he thinks I'm a nut, of course he wants a whole.
Also I hear myself saying "you ate all that in one day?". As I get my 1/2 cup of food down!!!! It is very FUN getting full so fast.
Now I am on my 7th month. 2-3 samples at Costco is my lunch, occasionally

I had the same problem, I needed to come up w/ 5 yrs weight loss history and I did not think I had it. THIS WAS A PPO, United Healthcare. I was so upset w/ this stupid rule. Fortunately for me, I had a trail of weight posting when I thought about it a little longer.
I am embarresed to say, I get in a funk every year after Xmas. Even though I enjoy the holidays it is the big let down.
I hope you get to the gym tomorrow. I am five months post op. for the first 3 months I was exercising but my mind would tell me " stay home, u r too tired, go tomorrow" and on & on this went. Well, I forced myself so many time that my head finally got out of the equation. I discovered no matter how tired or lousy I THINK I feel, I just stand up and get to the gym and every single time I feel better after the gym or snowshoeing or whatever I do to get moving.
    Fo for it!!!

I feel the same way as both of you. There have been a couple of women in other departments that have had bariatric surgery in the past years and this one woman constantly cuts them down for doing something "so ignorant" and " taking the easy way out". While she is about 60lbs overweight herself and pays for a gym membership for over a year and hasn't been there once and says she can't understand why she can't lose weight because she says she really doesn't eat that much or bad things while I watch her come in with Burger King or Wendy's for lunch and snacks on microwave buttered popcorn everyday for a snack!!! BUT this woman feels she can cut down other people that have decided to take control over their weight issues and finallyput a stop to the insanity! This woman is just one of many with the same opinion as others which is exactly why we find it hard to tell the " whole" truth. I would love to be able to be 100% truthful and open as this really goes against my
natural grain of being honest and open to a fault but IT IS ME...It doesn't make us dishonest, wrong or indifferent...it's just the society that we live in...a form of self preservation and what we all have to deal with...

I so far have avoided pizza cause it was a food I pigged out on. I just had spaghetti w/ light EVO and lemon, 2 bites, all OK for me. Bread, again just started with sprouted rye and tuna/pickle/avocado. Fine, I can only do 1/4 sandwich, that is a 1/2 c of food but it seems so silly, A QUARTER SANDWICH!! Who would of thunk.
    I was sleeved 8/27/12

Our depression, being scared of people, racing thoughts needs to be going on pretty much daily for a while (month) or it could be situational depression. I take med's for it & I have for a long time. I guess I will never get off them, I don't know but sometimes I think about cost, insurance & medicare later in life and just wonder.....how it will all work out

Hi there.....the only time I am nauseous is when I eat too fast. I am accustomed to bite, chew (sort of) bite, chew, bite, chew til done. I am almost at 3 months & it is getting worse as I forget or eat 8-10 tortilla chips. Right now I am completely stuffed from those chips I wolfed down and a HALF PIECE of string cheese. Last week, I had finally got it together & was eating my 1/2c of food over like 15-20 minutes and I felt ABSOLUTLY FINE and because of how long it took me I would not be able to finish the last few bites cause that full thing in 20 minutes was going on. Imagine that, they were right.
I left town for a few started eating fast.....now it is time to get back to slow meals, vitamins.
Also, I saw my doctor 2 weeks ago and when I told them I was regularly nauseated they were very interested & concerned to hear all details, they considered an ulcer til I told them my eating habits.
Water, I have played w/ tricks to get my water down. I do water, Savemart lemon squeezed in a bottle and some Stevia. I mix it to my liking and yum. If you work at a desk, I use to make 8 lines I I I I I I I I. And then cross them off as I drank each glass, the colder the water the better. The final thing that makes me go get more water is......" it is one of the easier things for me to do to get this fat to dissolve.

    Hi dinnh,
I take 2 egg whites,a scoop of french vanilla protein powder ( disolved in a little water)Add to that a little half and half (30ml).Now I add Ispagulla husk to it (20g of fiber)I allow the fiber to swell up and then I make sweet, but not too sweet, pancakes with it.The consistency of my mix is different all the time though as I just chuck things together.
I eat it with sf maple syrup and it is a meal and pudding for me all in one.
The cals is 150 protein is 34 and it is very filling. Some days I eat this in 2 portions as morning and afternoon snack as Im trying to spread the protein out over the day.
