It's very unfortunate that it's come apart. Wash them daily with a saline and visit your pharmacy to see if they have some type of wound healing cream. But don't let it dry out - it will make it itchy, hard and not heal as well.
But if the pus gets worse (I assume you mentioned that to the surgeon), see a GP in case it gets infected.

I love how you pretty much sum it all up in those words and it gives a very distinct mental image.

And even if the scale doesn't move, you might feel clothes getting looser. One week the scale barely moved, but I was able to fit into jeans that days earlier I couldn't.

All of the amazing the pics here inspired me to have my surgery so I figured I would also include mine... I haven't looked at myself in a side by side pic yet and I must say even I was shocked (in a good way!)
    Stats:
Pre surgery weight: 240 (the morning of)
    Size: 18/20
    Height: 5'-2
    Current weight: 188
    Current size: 13/14
Total lost since surgery: 52 lbs
(no pre-surgery diet, I was 240 lbs the day I went back for surgery)

ozeedonkee got a reaction from lessofmeismore in Egg Yolk
    (graph didn't translate)
Data taken from the USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Release 15. AA and DHA data from NutritionData.Com. Since the article was written, the USDA has published revisions. The latest, Release 17, can be found here.
As you can see from the table, the yolk contains 100% of the carotenoids, essential fatty acids, Vitamins A, E, D, and K (6 items). The white does not contain 100% of any nutrient.
The yolk contains more than 90% of the Calcium, Iron, phosphorus, zinc, thiamin, B6, folate, and B12, and 89% of the panthothenic acid (9 items). The white does not contain more than 90% of any nutrient, but contains over 80% of the magnesium, sodium, and niacin (3 items).
The yolk contains between 50% and 80% of the copper, manganese, and selenium, while the white contains between 50% and 80% of the potassium, riboflavin, and Protein.
It should also be kept in mind that the yolk of an egg is smaller than the white. Where the white contains a slim majority of nutrients, such as Protein, this is not due to a greater concentration in the white, but simply to the fact that there is more white in the egg than yolk.
I'll take my chances Besides, our bodies need fats, and we won't be eating enough that we'll consume dangerous amounts

An egg is pretty boring without the yolk! Plus yolks are full of good stuff. Eat the whole egg.

Great time to start new habits post sleeve. I don't know about you, but a couple of my really nasty habits just vanished after getting sleeved.
First one is impulsive and emotional eating. Good bye apple fritters, i don't miss you. Good bye 10 oreos, i don't miss you. Good bye a whole package of donut holes, i don't miss you. I hated the way you would pick me up and then drop kick me into the depth of despair. That one is obvious am I am sure most can relate with it. The second habit is not so obvious: drinking. I have had no desire for any drinks post sleeve. Good bye Long Island teas, I don't miss you. Good bye beers, I don't miss you. 3rd habit gone is soda. Goodbye coke zero I don't miss you. Good bye dr diet pepper, I don't miss you. Last habit gone is energy drinks. Good bye rock star zero, I don't miss you. Good bye 5 hour energy I don't miss you. And I definitely do not miss the crashes that follow.
Now here are some habits I have developed. Hello 3 hour Protein meals. You are a good companion that keeps my energy level and my emotions in check. Hello daily exercise. You keep me full of energy and good spirits and overall healthy body. You help me sleep better and feel more rested through the day. Hello Water. You keep me feeling alive and full of life. Hello new outlook on life. Hello more authentic relations with those in my life. Hello life. You are worth living again.

Everyone has a different experience. My day of op I was extremely nauseous, sore and fairly out of it. The following day was far better, just a bit of nausea (which subsided when they worked out which med to use). The next day better again And I'd do it all over again for the results I'm seeing

I'm stoked with the sleeve at this point. In 2 weeks I've lost 10kg. My clothes now fit (and dare I say my trousers are getting a little too loose) vs being so tight I really needed to go up a size. Just before surgery I saw a dress I really liked. I could JUST get it over my head and it certainly didn't go close to zipping up. Yesterday I wore it! My skin has improved. Now to conquer the wardrobe of clothes I have waiting for me. You know- those clothes we buy for "one day when I lose weight."

Turn it around - if he was in your situation would you be supportive of his having a VSG (or any other life saving operation) even though it would use your savings?
If you would, then understand he feels the same way, accept it, let go of the guilt, and go for it

You are worried about your boobs, but overall you want them to be proportionate to the rest of of your body. I have lost girth, but started with a 40DD and am know wearing a 34DD. The breasts are there, (also post menopausal) so they are not perky anymore, but in clothes of course they still look proportionate. I would say they are like giant skin tags, but look great rolled up into a good bra. I used to be a 40DD wide and now am a 34DD long.. :-)
