I didn't say I was 'wrong'. I just said I was a bit harsh.

ozeedonkee got a reaction from ATX Girl in My husband is an ass
Perhaps, because getting hungry at the mall was never an issue before, it just didn't occur to him that you would find it to be insensitive this time.
I realise it p'd you off, but I think you should give him a break. It would be nice if our families jumped on our bandwagon, but it's not realistic.

I confess I saw a picture of an American burger creation with about 10 patties, 50 slices of bacon, and same again of cheese - and all I could think of was how much I wanted to sink my teeth into it's greasy goodness. A serious case of eyes too big for stomach! Lol And I know better than to even ATTEMPT

ozeedonkee got a reaction from pedsnurse120304 in What To Pack For Kids' Lunches?
Some kids have sensory issues (separate from the physical/medical inability to swallow/eat. I don't know a lot about that), and are unable to tolerate certain textures/tastes. It makes feeding them difficult, and sometimes you just get in whatever you can - anything you can.
My son has Down syndrome and has some sensory feeding issues. For example, he will not (cannot) eat bread, but will happily chow down on chalk or crayon. How revolting

I've noticed that sometimes even though the scale isn't moving, my clothes have loosened.

I feel sorry for you that your concept of "beliefs" is so twisted that you go crazy over someone offering you well meant support to help you feel better about your situation. You made one thing clear and that is you are rude, and we all know what they say about karma

I won't respond to any more of your posts. I hope you find your financing solution, have the surgery and everything works out well for you.

ozeedonkee got a reaction from Jlynn20 in Thinking about doing the surgery!
It's a huge step. I would suggest seeing a counsellor (who specializes in it) for a while before doing it. I know you've seen your mother go through it, so you already know what it entails, but just to ensure you are mentally/emotionally prepared for it. Because you are so young, really really make sure you are prepared.

I haven't googled that particular plan yet. I do know I have to avoid the white, refined processed foods. So things like lollies, breads, baked goods etc will be on my try to avoid list.

Whoa. Hold up. Happyfam wasn't preaching to you, just saying not to give up as a solution could be in the near future. And her piece of advice about being careful with regard to financing costs was a valid one. Your response was overboard. I hope you can mull this over and realise that.

Maybe you could start with one top, wear it at home for a bit before you wear it out anywhere.
Yes, I think we get used to what we wear and then feel like fish out of Water with garments that are perhaps a bit nicer.

ozeedonkee reacted to RickM in No milk?
Different dairy products have differing amounts of latose in them depending upon their processing. Higher fat products such as ice cream are often tolerable to those who can't tolerate milk; ditto for yogurts and cheeses (my wife fits into this category after her DS.) Lactaid milk is available for those who are lactose intolerant as is lactaid tablets that can be taken before/with dairy. This may resolve over time or it may not - YMMV

I finally broke my stall! I have been stalled since 2 weeks post op. I've been bouncing up and down the same 2lbs. Finally I broke the 220's. 218! Woo hoo!

I was on purée day 4, so I doubt you've done any damage with a bit of guacamole. Just try to get back on your surgeons instructions
