  1. The ideas above are really good ones. Good luck! I've been watching on the news (in Aus) that you're in for a big one.
  2. If the pain meds don't put you to sleep, 50 Shades will!
  3. I went bonkers for a while - ate everything in sight.....put on a few extra kgs very quickly. Now I'm finding I'm not really interested in food. No idea what's going on with that! I'm due to be sleeved in about 2 1/2 weeks.
  4. Or - they'll be thanking you
  5. I agree with Chicago..... It would be great for him to be learning about the procedure with you, but if he doesn't want to, you have to accept that, move on and make sure you are educated as best YOU can be. After all , you have to do the hard yards after surgery. Hopefully his interest will pick up after surgery.
  6. I saw these on Dr Oz the other day. Glad to find this thread! They are something I definately want to try
  7. Oh OTR..... That's just waaay too high gear for my brain. Ask me after I've had Breakfast (I'll get back to you)
  8. There are quite a few who have. Kanye Wests mother (forgive me if I've got the wrong one, it's early, and my brain is still warming up) died shortly afterwards from complications.
  9. Oh cr*p! Fingers crossed...
  10. I find that every so often when I have neglected to eat enough (or any) vegetables, my gums will become inflamed (sometimes bleed a little or occasionally ulcerate). I know it happened when I did Atkins Induction for a month. Perhaps it's a dietary issue you're having. I hope so!
  11. Over here we like to use the line "Only in America!" lol I think it diverts our attention away from ourselves
  12. Oh wow! You obviously have made the most of your sleeve. Great work
  13. Oooooh I've got a whole wardrobe of clothes which will be like buying new outfits - only it won't cost anything I have an ultimate goal at 45kg (almost 100lbs) loss (and will take a few years to save for), to go to America. I want to go to the Bishops mule days and also to compete in a pack burro race. Yeeha!
  14. I'm pre-sleeve, but I'm a huge believer in probiotics for health. I like the powder form.
  15. I believe in God.....not strictly according to Christianity, but I believe nonetheless. But I think what is important is that we only have a short time in this life, and we have responsibilities first and foremost to ourselves and our children. If WLS provides us with the means to meet our responsibilities (let's face it - being overweight makes parenting a whole lot harder), then it cannot possibly be a bad thing or going against god. It also means we appreciate our bodies enough to rectify problems we have created.
  16. Go get some probiotic powder. Brilliant stuff!
  17. My surgeon also said the band had a higher rate of needing further surgeries. I really don't want to be doing it more than once (if possible)

I get you! Also - there's a difference between say a cuddle/hug and being groped. I don't get cuddles, I do get groped. And it pisses me off too. I'm not just a pair of boobs.
