  1. Sadly no. I'm just pedantic
  2. Anything that is grammatically incorrect irks me.....especially if the word ends with an 's' and someone has tried to denote ownership by adding ' 's ' OMG it, like, literally makes me wanna, you know, die. Oh! It's even worse if it's in a newspaper.
  3. I cannot believe how much YOUNGER everyone looks! I hope I get the same
  4. I only know that the surgeon I will be using recommends not getting pregnant within 2 years. I don't know the exact reasons behind this. Perhaps you should ask your surgeon?
  5. Put it out there and be honest with her. When you are alone tell her how much you value her friendship. Tell her you feel uncomfortable when her husband says those things, and that you feel it makes her uncomfortable too. Don't stay quiet. If no-one says anything about it, resentment builds and no-one wins.
  6. Atkins is good.... Better carb/protein ratio and tastes good
  7. Here's the way I see it - feelings are feelings. Feelings aren't right. Feelings aren't wrong. Feelings just ARE. We can't control how we feel. We CAN control how we choose to act. If people feel sick watching others eat huge amounts, so be it. If they don't run over to the over-eater and whip their plate away, or death stare them into oblivion, or projectile vomit in disgust - then what does it matter? I am choosing to listen. Accept. And move on.
  8. I don't think it's even an option in Tassie yet (true) much more mainstream in America
  9. But I'm not aware of any religion which believes in the right to harm others. It is the people with their own agendas within religious groups, and extremists who use religion as an excuse for violence and harm.
  10. Ugh. At the moment we have extremist Muslims rioting and using violence and hateful messages in Aus. Not acceptable and a real shame.
  11. Butterthebean - love that woman! She respects you enough that she didn't want to put temptation in front of you
  12. Says nothing about God. But a whole lot about human kind....
  13. Hi KristiP - I'm hoping you don't mind my nosiness - I was wondering what happened with your band to need it out? I just find it interesting with the bands. Sleeve still seems to have a stigma (my experience), but the bands don't. But it seems like a whole lot of banders have had issues.
  14. Clearasil is still around - but it's pretty potent. I'm 31, still get hormonal acne. At the moment I use an antibacterial soap followed with moo goo products. Love them! I find I Just can't use the supermarket products anymore because my skin isn't oily
  15. Fantastic! Everyone looks great! I can't wait to see what MY face REALLY looks like
  16. I am having the same issue. We took out insurance 12 months ago both having in mind that we would both get banded. After researching, I have changed to sleeve. But now that I have a date booked, he is starting to say things like "oh, we'll have to hope we have the money." I've already told him it's non-negotiable, it WILL happen. FFS we have the cash. It was okay for him to go spend $3500 on a caravan two weeks ago - but my health is, apparently, not so important. I feel that he doesn't value me, but I'm at the point in my life where "I" value me, beyond what anyone else thinks. NewMan - perhaps your wife is trying to get you to make the first step to separation, save herself the issue (and guilt) of doing so. Of course, I don't KNOW that, just thinking maybe. I hope you both find what needs to happen either way it goes.
  17. Lol yep At least if everyone eats it, the smell doesn't seem so bad
  18. I LOOOVE kangaroo! Best eaten as a family affair though...... Tends to, uh, create certain aromas
  19. Nope - no turkey bacon here in Aus. (at least that I'm not aware of!) You either eat a pig, cow, chicken, turkey, sheep or roo. It is what it's meant to be
  20. I will need to pay the surgeon AUD$3500 prior to surgery, and then pay the anaethetist roughly $2000 whenever he sends his bill. And then hope for the best when claiming from Medicare and insurance.
