  1. I've been wanting to get a tatoo, some of them can be so sexy, but I guess I'm just too conservative. Maybe when I get to my goal weight I'll just get a little wild and get a tatoo on my hip. Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. Does it hurt?
  2. Well, I am not feeling any restriction, I am planning on going ahead and getting a third fill on Tuesday. Get to see my cutie pie doctor again, ha, ha...
  3. I too am a member of Curves, I'm embarrassed to say I haven't been in about two weeks, my friend and I go during lunch and its a good cardio workout. I am actually planning on doing that at lunch today, got my workout clothes in the car. I haven't been working out w/ my trainer and miss him terribly, I feel so good after working out (too much going on w/ my life), but I am starting a strength training class on Monday and I'm looking forward to it. Lets start working really hard so that we can get in our bikinis this summer. LOL
  4. Wow, I wish I was at my goal weight so that I too can go get myself beautified. I am planning on having a tummy tuck and a body liposculpture. I'm going to look beautiful. Can't wait. Well good luck and don't worry all of us will keep you in our prayers.

  6. Well, now I don't know what to do, should I get more fill, should I stay the same? I really have no restriction, I just came back from lunch and I ate a small chilli from Wendy's, and still had room for two marshmellow Cookies. I shouldn't be able to eat that much, should I? I have until Tuesday, if I feel like I have more restriction, I'll cancel my appointment. I can't however give it a month, if I do, I will have to pay $300 again, and I'm not going that. If I go next week, he won't charge me again. But we'll see. I am however, looking forward to seeing my new Dr. Gomez, WOW did he impress me, he is really a cutie-pie. Looking forward to getting handled by him again. LOL By the way, it is a great username, isn't it? Kellymoos told me I reminded her of a butterfly, so I decided to change my name to a Beautiful Butterfly, but in spanish. I love it too.
  7. Well I am having no trouble wolfing down food, I've gained three pounds and hate myself for it. It sucks. I was however a night cereal eater, and I tried having some corn pops last night and they didn't agree with me. If I eat the cereal dry, I can eat tons of it, but if I try having it with milk, it doesn't work.
  8. Looking forward to him putting his hands on me again. LOL Blossom, how much weight have you lost to date? You got banded one day after I did, what kind of restriction do you have now? Wow, I just noticed you have had four fills, how often do you get them? sorry I have so many questions...
  9. WHEN YOU GET WELPS ON YOUR INNER THIGHS FROM WALKING AROUND TO MUCH, AND THEN YOU HAVE TO SIT IN FRONT OF THE FAN WITH YOUR LEGS SPREAD EAGLE TO FIND RELIEF! WHEN THE FRICTION FROM YOUR INNER THIGHS CATCH YOUR UNDER PANTIES ON FIRE! WHEN YOU WALK YOUR PANTS MAKE A SWISHING NOISE! I love these.
  10. Well at first it kind of freaked me out, but he said I shouldn't be too concerned, that it was something that could be repaired. I hope it repairs itself, or that I can continue to get fills without having to have it surgically fixed, because I can't afford to do this now. But thanks for the encouragement.
  11. Dr. Eddie Gomez in Coral Gables, Florida 305-669-2388, he didn't charge an office visit or any extra fees. The fill w/out flouru is $300 w/ flour $600. I did it w/out and it was perfect, no problems. The doctor was very nice and very good looking. (Emilio is his assistants name, if you call, hit #5 and it will connect you to Emilio). I had a really good experience with Dr. Gomez on Tues. 3/1/05.
  12. Hello, after being so excited about getting my second fill on Tuesday, I am so disappointed. I saw Dr. Eddie Gomez in Coral Gables, Fl (man, he is so fine!!) on Tuesday and he removed about .5 cc's from my band (I had 1 cc's in Jan., wonder what happened to the rest???) Well anyways, my port is flipped (he said I will eventually need to get it stitched back into place), but luckily he was able to do the fill, he played with the amount of liquid to get it just right and we thought he found it at 1.25 cc's, but it has been two full days and I don't have any restriction. I have called and they are going to fill me again next Tuesday. I was really looking forward to losing more weight, I have been at this weight for over a month, and it stinks. I WANT TO GET SKINNY!!! Oh well, I hope it goes better for me on Tuesday. I do have to say that Dr. Gomez was great, very personable and very, very good looking. Makes a girl nervous to have such a good looking guy pinching her fat. LOL
  13. It went fine, but Dr. Gomez said my port has flipped sideways and will eventually need to get repaired into place. Luckily, he had no trouble hitting the port and I was afraid because he doesn't numb the area, but it didn't hurt at all. The fill was painless, he played with the amount of fluid to get it just right and we thought he found it at 1.25 cc's, but I don't feel any difference in restriction. So I have called him and scheduled to get another fill next Tuesday. Luckily, he won't charge me anymore $. I am kind of disappointed that I didn't get enough restriction, was looking forward to losing some more weight. The drive to Coral Gables was quite nice, kind of boring by myself, but nice, its really beautiful out there, but the traffic was horrible, I could never live in a large city. yukky!!! The bad thing is I'll have to come up with another lie as to why I'm going to be out of work on Tuesday again. (my boss doesn't know about my band). But oh, boy is Dr. Gomez good looking, I'm talking major hottie... Makes you kinda nervous when a good looking man is pinching around your fat roll around your stomache. LOL Well hope to hear from you soon.
  14. HI Roxanna, I am in Southwest Florida and I had my lapband surgery on Nov. 4, 2004. I have lost about 23 lbs to date (my weightloss has been slower than most, as I had less to lose than most people). I go for my second fill tomorrow and I am really excited. Well please feel free to send me a pm if you have any questions. Do you have aftercare lined up? That was a mistake I made, because I had some problems after I returned home. I strongly recommend that you find someone that can see you after you return home should you have any complications. Hope to hear from you soon.
  15. I had some pain on my right shoulder, the doctor said it had to do with the anesthesia gases. I was a little uncomfortable, but for the most part, I did really well with the surgery. I did get up and walk around the same day, they said it would help my body get rid of the gases, but other than that the surgery itself was a breeze. Good luck and I hope all goes well.
  16. I'm glad to hear that things are good for you. Don't let that doctor get away with making such a huge mistake, make him pay for his mistake. You'll need the extra dough to buy your new wardrobe once you lose all your weight.
  17. You know this thread is fun and all-- but you shouldn't be giving out your mother's maiden name. Isn't that what we use on our accounts as a security identifier? Just wondering. That's the question I get asked when I have to call regarding one of my accounts. I don't know how many of you have your full names posted on this site, but If you do and you just added your mother's maiden name, that's just asking for trouble. I know that there are lots and lots of good people on this thread, but there might be others that just surf these types of sites to see what they can gain or what they can steal. Just a thought.

I too was addicted to soft drinks, coke in particular, I had to have it or I would get headaches. I still crave them and don't know if the craving will ever go away. Maybe I will invent a non carbonated drink that tastes exactly like coke, I could make a fortune on this. So what do you day, any investors out there willing to fund my project??? LOL
  19. drink a delicious Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper. Cold & Bubbly. Boy, Oh Boy do you have some nerve, that's what I miss the most, my cold & buddly cokes. Will you drink one for me??? PLEAASE>>>
  20. I have heard the pretty face one so many times. And I know what you mean about the drink thing at restaurants. I too ask for Water (with lemon) and it just sits there, of course. The waitress also wonders why I didn't finish my meal, wasn't it good, I can get you something else? Then I say it was fine, are you sure? Let me please bring you something else, NO I'm fine, thank you..... Gets annoying after a while.
  21. I spoke to him about having these procedures in January and he quoted me $2000 for the tummy tuck and $3500 for the body liposculpture. He did tell me to expect about an increase of about $100 per month, (the hospital and anethesiologists fees increase at about that rate is what he said) He told me that the surgerys could be done at the same time and that the hospital stay was about 2-3 days. I would however be required to stay down there about 15 days for follow up and for the removal of the drain w/ the tt and the removal of stitches or staples ( I don't know what they use). I have contacted a plastic surgeon locally that will do any follow up or aftercare that I need. Luckily my mom lives in McAllen and has offered to care for me and my kids while I have this done and I won't have an expense on staying at a hotel because I can stay at her home. I don't know if his quotes remain the same or if he has gone up, I do know that he is a good doctor. He did my band, and at the time I had my band surgery I wanted to get my tummy tuck and the lipo and had the money in hand and offered it to him and he refused to do it. He said that there were to many risks involved in doing the band surgery with the plastic surgery at the same time. He suggested I take time to get to my goal weight and then go and and have these surgerys done. That to me speaks highly of him, I had all that money right in his face and he could have so easily taken it and not cared for my health. And afer my banding I had problems and every call I made to his office he answered me if available, or he would call me that evening and would stay on the phone long amounts of time with me and never rushed me through any of my questions or concerns. He has a website if you would like to visit it here it is. http://www.silhouettecirugiaestetica.com Hope this info helps you. Also, please don't contact them and say what I was quoted, I have had people that I've told his quote to me, call and tell him ---well that's not what you quoted Estela. I'm sure there are a lot of things that go into consideration for a doctor in what he charges and I sure don't want to upset him. Maybe he quoted me a little less since I did have my band surgery with him (who knows) -- I need to stay on his good side since I do plan on continue my care for my band with him and then using him for my plastic surgery. Do you know what I mean??
  22. Well all I can say is I'm glad I'm not the only one. Its 9:30 am, just got in to work, have tons of stuff to do, and what am I doing, ha, ha.... What a wonderful addiction.
  23. The doctor I used only charged me $6500, and my plane ticket to Mcallen Texas was only about $250, I stayed with my mom so didn't have too many other expenses, so it wasn't bad, I hadn't lined up any after care here which was a big mistake, but I have found someone to do my fills now. As I've said in other treads I was supposed to have my surgery with Dr. del la Garza who was going to travel to Reynosa Mx to do my surgery (my mom lives in McAllen, so it was more convenient for me) and he too was going to charge me only $6500 which included the hospital and anesthisia. I would have only had to pay for lab fees which runs about $100. He originally wanted to charge me $7500 but I told him all I had was $6500 and wouldn't be able to get the extra money for the surgery, and he went for it. (This was last year around Sept. 2004) I wasn't able to use him because of scheduling conflicts. Good luck in getting your surgery, but make sure you do have someone lined up for aftercare. That was my worst mistake..
  24. I am so addicted to reading this site, It has been hard for me to get any work done at work. All I want to do is read this site, I don't have time to go online at home, but as soon as I walk in the office in the morning I log on and go on the site many-many times a day, look at me its 4:53pm and I haven't even gathered my things to go home, I love this site. Is anyone else addicted?
