  7. Are they giving you something for it? The pain medication is giving me nausea so they are giving me regular anti nausea medication as well. I'm also on day 2. The lady next to me said every day things get much better. Hang in there!
  8. I'm here and alive Made it thru surgery last night and today I am comfortable. Sitting up and sucking on ice. I hope everyone else's surgery goes as smooth as mine
  9. Hey all, I'm at the hospital waiting for my turn to go into surgery. I have just met the lovely anaesthetist and had a horrible antacid drink. Nervous but can't wait to be on the other side
  10. I was just coming here to post this too It started this morning and I have surgery tomorrow. Of all the f$&@ing days!!! I guess I will just have to let them know and try to manage it.
  11. Big hugs, I haven't been there so I don't have any advice sorry. Do you have medication for pain and getting rid of gas?
  12. Can you teach the little guy to climb? When my first son was 15 months I was already very heavily pregnant with son #2 and due to a painful pelvis issue I had to stop carrying him. The drs advised me to teach him to climb up info the bed and into the car himself. Maybe he could sleep with your 6 year old instead of a crib? Best of luck!

  15. How's everyone who is on the pre op diet going? I am on day 6 and haven't cheated once! I have honestly surprised myself. I even took the kids to McDonals for dinner tonight and didn't even eat one chip. Im having Optifast shakes and bars less than 800 cals a day. I have been having one tea spoon of margarine with garlic and frying zucchini, tomato and eggplant for dinner. I have lost 4.3 kg so far or 9.4lbs Hope everyone else is doing well too.

  18. Hey all, I am on the 7th Aug too. Currently day 5 of my pre op optifast diet and I haven't cheated a t all but I wish I could!
  19. I decided it needed to be all or none. I have chosen to only have my husband and mother know. He already went and blabbed to his mum :/ It is going to be tough to keep a secret. Good luck!
  20. I'm going okay so far but it is pretty hard when I still have to cook and serve the kids food! I keep reading that it gets better after day 3. I hope so because I can't imagine doing this for 2 weeks!

  22. Hello everyone, I'm getting sleeved on the 7th of august and I am on day 3 of my pre op diet. I'm reading 'weightloss' surgery for dummy's but it doesn't have much about the gastric sleve in there. Can anyone recommend a book to read that will be helpful or inspirational while I try to take my mind off food? Thanks in advance!
