  1. Sounds yummy. Do you know how many calories, protein and etc. are in them?
  2. Karla, you look awesome. What a difference.
  3. I am still a work in progress and need to lose more but thank you for the nice comments. I figured out how to put pictures on my profile too so I have more.
  4. I hope this works. The first is a before picture with me and my boys and the next one was taken a couple days ago. Still trying to find a good after picture.
  5. Can anyone tell me how to post pictures?
  6. I was banded June 1st, 2007 and have lost 123 pounds.
  7. At first I thought it might be something I was eating but these last few times I hadn't even eaten yet when it happened. Since you mention it this most recent time was right before my period starting also. I will have to make notes and see if there is a pattern.
  8. I have some weird thing happening lately and I was wondering if any of you have experienced it or have read about it on other threads. I call them "attacks". They start out as a pain in my lower stomach area and progress rapidly into an intense pain. Worse then the contractions from when I had my son. I have to go into the restroom when I have them. I am in so much pain that I break out into a sweat (so bad that I have to shower afterwards) and feel like I am going to get sick. It last about 20 minutes and the pain goes away. I brought it up to my doctor in February after my gall bladder was removed and he didn't say what it was or act too concerned about it. But, I have been having them a lot since my last fill.
  9. When I went in for my first fill we found that my port had flipped. Since the revision I have had only one fill and I had to go back two days later to have half of the fill taken out. I have been in twice since then and they have recommended that I don't get a fill because I was doing so well. It really depends on your restriction and your progress with your weight loss. I am very happy with my results as I have lost 103 pounds since June 1st.
  10. Dr. Sasse was my surgeon also. He doesn't do the fills a nurse does. I saw him once after my surgery for the follow up and now I see a nurse.
  11. I had a fill on Wednesday and that night had a shake for dinner. I had about 6 oz and was very full even when I woke up today. I had chicken broth for lunch and for dinner had more soup. I have a weird pain by my should and chest. It feels like it did after I had my surgery with a hernia repair. My question is will this tight restriction pass or will it get worse?
  12. I have a question for those of you who have been banded already. I had my first fill at the doctors office on Wednesday and the nurse said that i had to be on liquids for about 3 days as I was walking out. After the liquids do I have to go to mushies and then solids? I would appreciate any help.
  13. I was banded June 1st and had to have my gall bladder out on September 7th. I was kind of mad at the doctor because I asked him to look at my gall bladder when he did the first surgery. By the time Setember came around I ended up in the E.R. because of the gall bladder. I can't see how it would have gotten so bad in a couple months, it had to have been bad before.
  14. I meet with my doctor on 8/2 to see if he can do a fill and if not we will discuss other options. I can try to have fills un floro or have a revision to reposition the port. I think the nurses name that tried my fill was Lori. She was very nice but had a difficult time.
