So irritated!
oh man...sorry!!! but YES, it's worth it... hopefully you will hear something positive soon!

I need to chew something. And I need to poop.
mix your Protein in the blender with ice to the point where it's still a bit chunky, but almost "shaved" and you can eat it with a spoon, that should help the crunch factor... for the other, try Miralax, or check with your doctor for the best remedy...it is a common problem after WLS, I guess because we don't eat so much fat, which would flush that out "smoother" good luck!

Cravings
it's common, it's your head trying to weasel it's way back into controlling your tummy... don't succomb to it...it's trying to brainwash you...lol I found sipping some hot tea or broth helped get thru those times... I am fighting "head hunger" myself these days too...the worse I have done is raw almonds Fried food and sweets make me nauseous just to look at, so I guess I'm lucky there... the stuff I eat is on our plan, but I have been indulging in "extras" and I have to stop NOW PS that's why I LOVE my dvr...I hop right thru the commercials, rarely watch anything "live" anymore

I feel so selfish...
agreed, very normal... we all have to wait and see...and it's annoying as all get out...but that's life... Good luck, take a deep breath, have a cup of tea and chillax ... you'll get there!

So irritated!
I work for an insurance company, so please don't take it out on the customer service rep... we can only give you the information that is in our systems... but it sounds like you are getting conflicting info, and that's not good. What we have to realize is that we are not their only client... I am sure they are doing what needs to be done...but when we are in a "holding" pattern, it is very frustrating... I understand. Hopefully you will get some good news very soon! Good luck to you

I'm Gonna Starve!
I have some doggies treats in my purse...hmmmm

What's the skinny on the skin?
The worse for me are my bat wings (upper arms)...so I have been working out with weights to help that... the exercise helps tone your muscles and skin and help with the "flab factor"... but that being said...some loose skin is no reason to give up on the surgery! You will be a healthier you... it will work itself out!

Where can I find reliable stats?
How did the seminar go?

My Path To The Real Me
This is common...but glad you are doing better, after all, you just has SURGERY ... I went back to work for 1/2 days in the beginning...that really helped me... plus I hate my job, so I was in no hurry. Good luck to you!

Easter Dinner- help
I agree, there should be no harm in bringing a dish...a roasted chicken even...whatever you are comfortable with... I tried new things too early with my sleeve and regreted it "quickly"... be careful...but enjoy your day, it's all about the DAY, family, friends, not food

backache
ah yes, the infamous chair problem! I had to find a different chair here at work (they are all junk) but the one I was using bothered my sciatic nerve for some reason and made my legs numb...after several tries I found one that I was able to adjust to me ok... I would LOVE to get my own chair!!! Good luck ... take a warm bath...that is always soothing to me!

Surgery tomorrow freaking out
Are you going to have a "slumber party" with your friends? Enjoy some movies, do pedicures (you can't have your nails painted) ... do something fun that will take your mind off it... I was so excited, I couldn't sleep!!!! I took some tylenol pm, sat down and watched a movie and in a few moments I was OUT!
-
Need 8 & 10
Congrats! I don't think I'll ever see single digits...my bone structure would make me look like a skeleton with skin (bad enough I'm the Incredible Cottage cheese woman now)!! My advice...GOODWILL!!!! Honestly, especially your sizes...it's amazing what you can find there for only a few bucks (especially if you pick up the color tag of the week) ... it's a bit of a hunt, but worth it... Good luck, and again, congrats!

Surgery tomorrow freaking out
Just try to relax (I know, easier said than done) picture yourself as the weight melts off... think of the things you plan to do... set up a mini goal for yourself and when you reach it, what will you do for yourself? Manicure, pedicure, massage...etc... Good luck, you've got this! (don't know why part of this is in "quotes")

To all that got through the 2/3 weeks of the pre op diet
Good luck to you... actually the first 2/3 days of the liquid diet were the hardest...after that it seemed (for me) that it went easier, so it could be that...

Almost amonth after
I am a Goodwill advocate too! I had to get some dresses for a cruise, I don't wear them... I got 3 at Goodwill (color of the week too) so they cost me about $10!!! There was NO way I was going to spend a lot of money for something I will barely wear...
-
backache
there could be hundreds of reasons, you pulled a muscle, strained yourself, etc...or if it's on the right side (i believe) it may be gallbladder... how long has this been doing on? have you called your doctor? your primary may need to check you out if this has been going on for days and nothing is giving you relief... good luck to you

MAJOR regrets
@Mrs. Whatsit sorry you are having such difficulties...and it may be cliche....but "this too shall pass"... things will get better and the weight will start to come off and you will look back and wonder why you regreted the surgery in the first place... keep us up to date so we can find out how you are feeling/doing... the first few weeks can be trying for many new WLS members, but it WILL get better!

Shopping for a new body is really hard
I know, crazy right? When I went jean buying, the sale was on skinny jeans... I looked at those things and said "no way" but it was the largest size they had on the sale rack...and they were BIG! YIKES!!! What?!?! It's funny how our brain can't wrap itself around our bodies...I don't know when/if that will happen for me... that being said, now that I can stand for periods of a time (I have RA so I was almost bed ridden before the surgery it was so bad)... I search at Goodwill...AMAZING finds for about $4 each!!! and PLEASE let it be the color of the week so it's half off!!! LOL... I got 3 dresses that I needed for a cruise we were on and found them there all for under $10!!! They are lovely...but I don't wear dresses as a rule, so there was NO WAY, I was going to spend a lot...but I got a lot from there...go exploring and see what treasure you find! Good luck! Enjoy!

body shaper or girdle
I've thought about getting spanx, but they are so expensive... I think of that movie with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy when Melissa tries to make Sandra look sexy and cuts off her pants to find spanx because it "holds stuff in" so even Sandra Bullock has "stuff" LOL

3 month insurance required diet
so sorry...but I guess you are right, shows you NEED the surgery to lose With my insurance, I just had to show a history of (failed) weight loss programs... so I didn't have to go on a medically supervised on...also my primary care dr was very PRO surgery for me, so she may have helped things along a bit So glad I had it done!

Morning star
the question really is WHY? why did you want to/try to eat two? Stick to your plan and you will do better... your body still needs food to fill it's pouch...we just have to put in the right ones... good luck

QUESTION: H. Pylori & the sleeve
H,. Pylori is VERY common, it is caused by your Water (from what I understand)... I had to have the test; but since I have purified water in my house...mine came back negative So don't worry about it, it's common, and when your surgeon gets the results, they should be calling in a script for you...

The Vicodin haze has faded, I survived surgery
@jdillon that sounds like a mini panic attack...which happens... it's a shame that they couldn't do both at once for you but you came out of it all ok... try sleeping on a recliner...that's what I did when I had my gallbladder removed, it was the most comfortable... good luck! you've got this!
