FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
At day 10 they put me on sift foods... I can eat anything I've tried! I've not tried real dense things like steak, but if big can cut it with a fork, I can eat it. I've been so lucky. I've not vomited one time from eating (i was sick and vomited a few times) or even had any issues other than over full and feeling uncomfortable for a while. I can usually walk around and sit up super straight for a while and it will go away once I can have a few sips 30 mins later. I count myself bless, the down side? I am not losing as fast as some...

- NSAIDS
This is a touchy subject... In was sleeved because it have an autoimmune disease and have to take nsaids... Now my surgeon says I can never take them. I didn't meet with my surgeon before preop and that was for another 45 seconds. The 6 month preop diet I saw apns... When she told me no nsaids ever I told her I wouldn't be able to have the surgery... She then told me about the sleeve and Medicare just started paying for it... They sent me to my rheumatologist and he approved sleeve only, because you CAN take nsaids after surgery... Funny if you Google it, it shows taking nsaids as a pro of this surgery! Frustrating!- My Top 5 "No No" Foods @ 1 Month Post Op
I am four weeks out and I've been able to eat soft foods since day 10. Anything you can cut with a fork... I've not come across anything I can't eat.... Like I never had surgery except for the restrictions- Medicare - Is anyone getting approved for VSG?

I was 4 weeks yesterday. I got sick last week with a uti and ran high fevers... I don't know if it's coincidence or what, but I've lost 4 pounds since then... Maybe it was just the break of a 3 week stall- Can't Eat! Three weeks post op
- Arkansas Roll Call...
It was a piece of cake... Surgery wise. The hard part is the eating... Before and after! Hard to stick to preop and hard to stay on the liquid afterwards... Some say they didn't get hungry... I did! Then only lost weight for the first two weeks and stopped the second two weeks... Frustrating! I am sure I shrunk during that time though... Clothes fit differently- Arkansas Roll Call...
Siloam Springs here! Sleeved 2/18- Better or worse than expected?
The surgery part was way easier... Hardly any pain after 24 hours... Food part was a little harder... Just getting my head right- surgery date feb 18
