  1. They told me using the breathing thing would lower it... Sort of like a dog panting... Gotta get good oxygen flowing
  2. By the way, when I called the surgeon called me back and said ibsounds good and asked how I felt. I felt fine other than the fever and he told me to take tylenol and call back in the am innit didn't go down... It did and stayed down.
  3. I ran a fever for 4 days some as high as 103°, the hospital told me to call if it got over 101°. Pretty normal
  4. Try warming the water... Not hot, but like you'd heat a baby's bottle. I found cold things did that to me, even room temp. Add a little green tea if the warm water is too gross
  5. Why? Very little enters the blood stream... I think I read 5%. Thankfully I've been able to resume my humira... It helps some and I hope to be able to resume mobic before long
  6. I was taken off 6 Diabetes meds except metformin... My sugars were running a little too high and I asked to go back on victoza... Two reasons: 1. I was having hunger issues and it helps that 2. Victoza aids in weight loss. I'd forgotten how hard it is for me to adjust to. I've been taking the lowest dose for weeks and still have constant nausea. I have trouble getting in my protein and fluids. The doc called me in some zofran and even though I've filled it before they are requiring a PA. Anyone have this issue (nauaea) and any ideas how to curb it? I work harder on water than I do protein, but do manage a fuzzy navel protein drink a day, a large one else 12 oz so I am getting about 40 grams. I am NOT losing weight. Is there a correlation between don't getting protein or water?
  7. These must be whey... Probably not, at least not 100%...a waste of money
  8. But if you Google it, it says it a pro about this surgery... You can take nsaids afterwards... Now my surgeon says no more, rheumatologist pissed, says that's why he oked this surgery and not the RNY... I will see who wins!
  9. Stickin with the chicken! You're a poet and didn't know it!
  10. I gained 12 too, it's just all the fluid they pump into you.. My hands were like catchers mitts they were so swollen
  11. I am at 220 now, would love to be 180 by June 1st... Eek, could I? I need to work out... Been sick for a few weeks and haven't been walking
  12. I need to stay off this website for a while... Surgery 2/18 and only down 20...ive not been able to exercise the last few weeks because I've been sick, but still!
  13. This looks like a non serious thread to ask a question... Can one leave a thread? I get announcements on my phone for threads I made a comment on 50,000 messages ago and am soooo not interested in the thread... I only use the app, by the way...
  14. This is the most painless surgery I've had! The first 36 hours are uncomfortable, but I was home the next day and didn't take anything stronger than tylenol for pain. It's a quick bounce back kind of surgery. Lots of people go back to work in a week. I could have, easily (teacher)
  15. The nausea with this surgery is bad... After 24 hours mine got better, but I noticed every time they gave me reglan in my iv I'd dry heave within seconds... Watch that and see if it's that that's making you so sick
