I made it to the loosers bench 2/14/13!!!!! Yee haw and I have lost 9# in less than 24 hrs so plus pre op I lost 16# for a total of 25#. Up and walking every couple hours for 10-15 min at a time. I'm feeling pretty good.

Sleeved about 5 hours ago. Feeling awesome. Pain is about a 2 on a 10 scale. Dr Kim is great!

Well i'm sitting here with my IV in n they just weighed me! After two Weeks of my liquid diet I have lost 25 pounds n its just the beginning! See you all on the sleeved side n good luck!

Hi all! It has been a long time. I have been busy with life. I am now down 100 pounds. I am SO thrilled! I love the way I feel. I love the way I am starting to look. I love it all! I am so grateful for the sleeve. It has changed my life. I feel so blessed to have had the surgery. It is Amazing! I can't say enough good things about it. I LOVE it!

Hi! I'm Kim, 42y/o. I had my VSG on Feb 4th. Today marks one week! Day of surgery I weighed 308 (I lost 150 pounds pre-op). Weighed in today at 295! Whoohooo! I have followed my diet plan and made sure to get in all my supplements, Vitamins, and protien. I feel good, and I'm walking over an hour each day. I think losing weight before surgery has helped me immensely! Trying to enjoy my Decaf coffee is my biggest struggle...and the lovenox blood thinner shots! I hate those! Here's to all of you working it! Congrats!

Guess where you are going to "fit-in" soon? Airline seats, theater seats, amusement park rides, kayaks, regular clothes...the list goes on and on!
Which is better? That, or being able to down a crapload of food?

I start my Clear liquids pre-op diet on Feb 1st. So not looking forward to it but if it means that my insurance is paying...hey, I'm in!
I'm in Phoenix and having surgery with Dr. Fang. Awesome name, right? I will be at Bridges Weight Loss Center. Doesn't seem to be many people to connect with there (on here).
My best friend had this surgery in August 2010 and has been mega successful. I know I will be too! I'm SOOOOO excited!
I'm not sure of my goal weight. I don't even care. I just want to feel good!
I'm very tech impatient so I haven't figured out the ticker yet. The site seems very slow while I'm here at work. Oh, and I teach high school!

So I did my preop today. It went fairly well, but one thing really concerns me. My surgeon wants me to disconnect my insulin pump at midnight day of surgery. I'm scheduled for 12. I take tons of insulin a day like 160 units a day.
This seems like a very dangerous thing to do. I've heard of people who have had their cats chew their tubing in the middle of the night and have to go to the emergency room in the morning.
Am I the only one who thinks this is borderline suicidal? Damn!
I hope this isn't the beginning of the end of my high confidence level in Dr Kim. I'm talking to my endo on Monday. I'll have her talk to Dr. Kim about that.

I spoke to my big sister and she's willing to hop on a plane with my niece on 2/13 to entertain the kids and manage them at my house. They will fly out on Sunday.
What an awesome sister I have!

Haha. I agree. Not a fan of all if the commercials and stuff. But his skill and staff more than make up for all of that. His practice and people are amazing.
