  1. I'm happy to say I've lost a total of 40 lbs...surgery was 11/6/12. I'm not exercising like I should but I am very strict about only eating 1/4 cup three times a day. I usually just eat what the rest of the family is eating, chilie, beef stew, etc. my goal is to drink more and exercise!
  2. Happy new year everybody! Went to the doc yesterday...off mushie food, yeah! I've lost 38 lbs. since my pre-op diet, feeling pretty good. Got to start exercising now. Hope this is a great year for all of us.
  3. Two snakes slithering thru the grass...one snake says to his buddy, "hey, are we poisonous or non poisonous?" The other snake says, "why do you ask?" The first snake says, "cause I just bit my tongue!" Liz, still praying for you...hang in there girl!
  4. I confess 1. My daughter and I baked today and I tasted, cookie dough, marshmallow fluff, fudge and molasses cookie. Not a lot just a pinch 2. That I eat way too fast. 3. I feel yucky after I eat, probably because of #2 4. I wish I was losing faster. 5. That 1/4 cup of mushie food is not much! Lol
  5. My dr. Also says at the six week timeframe we can do any exercise
  6. Sleeved on nov. 6. I am eating a pretty good variety of things a 1/4 cup at a time. One thing my sleeve does NOT like is scrambled egg. Comes back up in 5 minutes. Maybe try creamy peanut butter. You can lick it off a spoon and it seems to go down well.
  7. Leave butter alone, he rocks and his advice is well thought out and helpful.
  8. Congrats o the new you! Your story IS very encouraging and I thank you for sharing it. I was sleeved nov. 6th and I'm down 31 lbs. it's a blessing for sure! Have a very merry Christmas.
  9. I confess: 1. That after 5 weeks, I am still scared of developing a leak, and think about it every day. 2. That I do not get in all of my fluids a day -- ever. 3. That I was very disappointed when I went for new pants and haven't gone down even one size after losing 31 lbs. 4. That I am grateful to have lost 31 lbs., but don't see it. 5. That I hardly ever exercise. 6. That I am addicted to VST!
  10. Liz, this sucks! I've been praying for you and will continue. Use your anger to fuel your recovery! And anytime you want to vent, we're here for you. Lots of hugs going your way.
  11. Went by the doctor's office today and weighed -- lost another 7 lbs. for a total of 31lbs.! Whoo-Hoo, I am doing the happy dance of joy!
  12. Was sleeved nov. 6th, and I can finally get almost a 1/4 cup down....it's such a waste cause you either have left overs for 2 weeks or you toss a lot of food. Who wants to eat the same thing over and over when you're not hungry to begin with? I've yet to get my calories over 400 a day including my protein shakes. It's crazy!
  13. Oh my, I went on a favorite restaurant farewell tour...I gained about 10 lbs between my first consult and my pre-op diet...lol
  14. The month before my liquid pre-op diet I had a final farewell tour of all my favorite restaurants! LOL
  15. My pre-op was 5-6 opti-fast shakes a day with additional Water or a sugar free Popsicle!
  16. Yes...I know what you mean. Had my surgery nov. 6 and I should be up to about 4 oz. no way, more like 2 small bites or back it comes. I always feel full and make myself eat something at mealtime. Drinking is no problem.
  17. Yeah! The surgery will be behind you soon and you'll be living your new life! Congrats
  18. Ugh! Tried eating half of a scrambled egg for dinner and it came right back up....ugh!
