  1. Got sleeved on the 6th so I'm 3 days post op. having trouble getting my protein and fluids down. So far I'm getting about 25 grams of protein and about 32 ounces of water. If I take too big of sip, it really hurts. I feel like all I do is sip, and I'm still only meeting half my goal,. How are you guys doing on this...any tips?
  2. George...so glad you had a good experience. For me it was the nausea, once they got that under control so much better. Fun size, I pray that you will be great! I'm having trouble getting my fluids and protein down. I sip, sip all day and it doesn't seem to add up to much. If I sip too much, I get a really bad pain in my chest. I know it will get better as time goes by just worried I'm not doing enough protein.
  3. Thanks. Yes my drug combo was Ragland, plus zofran -- both by IV -- and then a pheneegren suppository. The relief was so fabulous. Good luck to you!
  4. I puked up blood for a day and a half about once an hour! It was a lot of puke and a lot of blood (sorry to be gross). My doctor said not to worry unless the blood was bright red. Mine was very dark. When I stopped the narcotics, the puking stopped. So no more pain killers for me...ever! Glad your in the hospital when they can monitor you closely. God is with you you'll be home soon back with your family. My prayers are with you!
  5. I, too are including you in my prayers: to comfort you, to guide your Dr. And to heal you quickly. God is powerful and he loves you! Hang in there.
  6. Had surgery Tuesday. Lots of nausea and vomiting. My fabulous nurses kept trying different drugs and found one that kept nausea at bay. Feel like a new person. Just got home from hospital and sitting here sipping my water. I have no regrets and thank all of you guys for helping me understand what to expect and for all your prayers and good thoughts!
  7. Got my sleeve on Tuesday. Had 2 days of really bad nausea...vomited about every hour. My awesome nurses stayed right on top of it and tried lots of different drugs. They hit the right combo and everything was great. Just home from the hospital, minimal pain and no nausea. Sitting here sipping my water. When I get my 12 ounce bottle down, I will try a protein drink. Thanks for all the prayers, I know they made a big difference. Anyone heard from George? I'll continue to pray for all my nov sleeve brothers and sisters! I have no regrets!
