  1. Hopefully the rest will go quicker for you. My journey to surgery was fairly quick because I did not need prior auth.for instance. Our the6month diet. They should know anyone who considers this surgery can't do it with diet anymore than you can do it with chocolate. They try to hang on to the money as long as they can. The rest hopefully will be better. I am only4days out but i know i made the right choice
  2. Well I would liked to have seen mine.
  3. OHHHHHH never thought of tomato soup.
  4. Shoulder pain early after surgery in the gas that was left in your belly from doing the surgery. I have had it with all my belly surgeries. Read about it here. http://www.hcgresources.com/shoulderpain.html
  5. I'm4days also and I feel pretty rough yet. Can't get much liquid in. That spam type pain its awful. Now gas pain is in chest and shoulder. Just keep on keeping on I guess.

  7. My surgery was three days ago. I came home yesterday and the nausea was horrible I threw up before I got zofran. Lots of pain.I don't regret the surgery. Its funny how different we all do. Having a hard time drinking anything at all. Hopefully that gets better today.
  8. My surgery was the same day. I came home today and feel awful. Nausea. Blahhhh not interested in drinking but I know I have to. Having a good bit of pain too. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

  12. First I would call insurance company myself to find out all the steps for yourself. If you contract a popular bariatric surgeons office they will guide you through everything. They are allot of help. You won't know the requirements until you call. Sounds like your pcp don't know what he is talking about. Go from there, might not take as long as you think. Good luck to you.
  13. I was sleeved yesterday and holy cow I bet you are right about that
  14. Some insurance companies waive the weightless attempts if your bmi is 50. I hope you do consider surgery. Studies show its the best shot long term.I was sleeved yesterday after having failed lap band removed. I have been skinny and fat and skinny sure feels better.
  15. omg i thought this day would never get here. August 28 th. Had lap band removed a few months ago. I am ready for my sleeve today surgery is in alma michigan
  16. My doctor would not schedule my surgery unless I quit. I had to have 2 urine tests, one 2 weeks after I quit and another a few weeks ago.my surgery is Tuesday. I would be a fool to a start up again as it is I don't like the noises I hear come from my lungs without smoking. If you can manage to quit I think you would be glad. I used chantix

  18. My doctor removed my lap band and had me heal for 2 months. I am getting sleeve on Tuesday. Can't wait. But I have heard of a lot of people getting band removed and sleeve done at the same time. Good luck to ya.
  19. I had to quit smoking for two months before my surgeon will do surgery. I used chantex. It worked great but what a weird pill. I was determined to quit but I could not go cold turkey. Someone would have probably died. At the same time I had a failed lap band removed. So it turned into an eat a thon. I gained25 pound easy, I get my sleeve surgery Tuesday. Not a day too soon. Can't wait to get back on track. Hope you can get off the chew
  20. My mom Had gastric bypass 8 days ago and her diabetes is 99 percent better and she is off oxygen she was on 4 litres around the clock. I get sleeved Tuesday if it ever gets here.
  21. If it were me personally I would get the bypass It is as they say still the "gold standard" surgery. Do as much research as you can. My mother had bypass last week and I am having sleeve next week. But if my ins. would not pay I would not have a problem having the bypass. I would be thankful that they pay for the bypass. Thats just me. Good luck, hope it all works out for you.
  22. Never anyone there for me either.
