  1. Great job!!!!!! Congrats
  2. I usually go out for a quick bite at the diner on Friday nights and a nice restaurant on Saturday nights. I take most of my dinners home for my husband's lunch during the week or my kids who are in their twenties and don't come out with us anymore.
  3. I was sleeved July 11, 2012 and am down 44 lbs. I'm in another stall right now. so far its been lasting 2 weeks. ugh!!!!!
  4. you have a lot of fats included in your meals. real mayo is high in fat. pepperoni is high in fat. avocado is high in fat (even though it's a good fat) and grapes are high in sugar/calories. You need to get more protein in and try to cut the fat. no more than 30 grams of fat per day. If you go to Livestrong.com it will track your food and exercise for you. Good luck!!!
  5. I bring healthy Snacks with me and for the most part, I eat them. It's just been this past week that I haven't been looking to eat them but crave the junk. I don't take B-6 or B-12 Vitamins. I take a multi Vitamin and Calcium with D. I wonder if I should be taking those vitamins also. @Pdxman - thanks for the kick in the butt. I needed that!!!!!
  6. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of doing volunteer work or searching for an activity or new people to meet. I am a nanny for two little girls who like to snack all day. I will try to get out of the house my often and walk with them. I know I don't drink enough Water. The most I get in are 32 oz a day and thats on a good day. For some reason after surgery, I don't like drinking anymore. I will put more of an effort into it.
  7. That's a good idea also. Most times I don't get all my Proteins in anyway.
  8. Great idea!!!! I'll try that.
  9. I'm trying, but it's been so hard. I don't understand why all of sudden this is happening.
  10. You can absolutely take two. I do but it's broken up. One a half hour before breakfast and the other a half hour before dinner.
  11. I don't know what's happening to me. Ugh!!! It's been about a week now that I can't stop grazing. Why is this happening? I was doing to good and now I keep looking for chocolate and other junk to eat. After breakfast I'm looking for cake or cookies. After lunch I'm looking for chocolate and other junk to nosh on. What's going on???????
  12. Good for you. I'm refusing to buy anything new until I lose all my weight. I have bags of clothes that I never got rid of in hopes I would one day lose weight so I keep digging into the bag.
  13. You should call your doctor and tell him/her. Are you taking your acid reflux medication????
  14. It didn't irritate my stomach. Everyone is different. The only way you'll know is to try it.
  15. Wishing you all the best!!!!! Speedy recovery
  16. Try it. Canned fruit is nice and soft. Eat a little piece and if it agrees with you than have 1/4 to 1/2 cup. Good luck!!!!
  17. Yes, it lasted on and off for weeks. It's your muscles contracting and healing. Hang in there. It will come and go until it finally goes away
  18. p.s. Make sure you're taking your ppl (prilosec, nexium, etc.)
  19. I was the same way. It gets better as your stomach starts healing and the swelling starts to go down. You're right on track with your food, but I would try to get another shake in if possible. It counts as part of your water intake.
  20. I have Oxford Health Plan and they didn't approve the pysch either. I had to pay for that out of my pocket which was $250.
  21. You should call your nutritionist and ask. I'm almost three months out and I try to stay between 800 - 900 calories and yes I watch my fats. I have a call into my nutritionist with those same questions. Good luck.
